They look out of place in the bd rack. I won't be buying any of the titles that are Digibook. If they can't release them in a couple versions then they can kiss my ass.

holy smokes i have never heard so much complaining in my life.
if you dont like the digi-books...here's a clue for you Einsteins'...don't buy 'em!
I can't wait to hear the utter garbage when The Shawshank Redemption is brought out on digi.
the blu ray cases are dull, boring...you open them up...nothing in them..just the dvd.
here in the digi-book version, you get a book, movie...who cares if the case isnt the same size..are all of your books that you have in a collection the same size...i think not..

I love the Warner Digibooks. I will buy any film that comes out in Digibook packaging. Once I have a lot of them they'll all line up together and look sexy as hell on my shelf. I'm really excited about Amadeus and The Matrix coming out in that packaging as well. The Matrix, mostly because I like that I now won't have to buy the whole damn expensive box set. I hate the other movies, do not want to own them, and certainly don't want to pay for them.

Well actually complaining about the case is one thing. But these digibook releases do in fact cost more money than the movies that come in the regular cases so I can see why people would be upset in that respect.

Well I can understand why they would only choose DD for that movie I don't really see how it could benefit much from TrueHD. But with movies like Speed Racer there is just no excuse decisions like that are ridiculous.

Don't want to beat a possibly dead horse by reviving this thread, but I just received my first digibook (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and I must say I really like the packaging . Like someone else pointed out, once I get a number of them they will look real nice next to each other.

Bought my first (and hopefully last) digibook yesterday. The Shawshank Redemption. While some don't care about how these look with the rest of their BDs, others here do, which is fine either way. I personally didn't like the way it looked, so I got proactive.

Here's a suggestion to all who might want to lose the digibook.

I scanned a copy of the Shawshank digibook's front, back and spine. I printed the scans off on photo quality printer paper and after a little cutting and reassembling I then inserted it and empty BD case.

VOILA!!

The whole process took very little time. Unless one decides to scrutinize the thing with any great intensity, you wouldn't at all be able to tell the difference between it and any other BD cases on my shelf.

Of course, I'm keeping the original case in a drawer, but as far as my BD shelves are concerned... So long stupid-sexy digibooks.

how are the discs held in the digibook is there a normal holder in the front or back or do they just stick the disc between the pages?

There's a clear plastic "mount" stuck to the back, hardcover of the book that holds the disc.
