Thanks! I just did the very same thing. Its worth being aware that, just because a website uses PayPal for payments, it doesn't follow that your information is necessarily secure - https://medium.servertastic.com/myth...e-3f69aa1036a5

As a postscript to the "insecure website" subthread, I received this reply from Arrow concerning the use of secure http:

We have plans to upgrade this in the future but it is not available at this time.

Amazon has 124 copies left of the H.G. Lewis set. Seems like the price drop has stopped now - it has actually increased slightly since yesterday, to £71.68. I cannot justify spending this much money on films I don't even like, but for those who were originally on the fence about it it's a good price for a set which originally went for around £100.

When you go to checkout it shows the maximum amount of copies available to order.

Ah, cheers.

I've ordered it... but the Mrs insists that it gets 'hidden' until my birthday... in November!

Did the amaray edition of House by the Cemetery come with a booklet and the additional DVD disc of special features, or was it only the window box edition? Quite interested in picking this up while its in the sale, but I'll just wait and play the eBay game if it's missing content from the older release.

Or like Arrow seems to be doing frequently with their older titles nowadays, should I wait on the off chance of a 4K remaster in a beautiful LE? :P

Yes there was a dual format amaray with booklet but that went oop. There are some rumours about the Fulci titles getting new remasters but I've got a feeling that won't be until next year maybe?

Thanks! I'll maybe try my luck after work tomorrow at my local HMV then. I managed to get an old dual format of Zombie Flesh Eaters from there last week, so maybe I'll get lucky again.

The double disc amaray release of Zombie Flesh Eaters is not a dual format release. It includes a second BD of bonus features. The newer release drops the booklet and the bonus disc. Likewise with Lifeforce. These are the ones I managed to get recently from Fopp.

Edit: This is a good thing as I think nearly anyone that buys these would prefer a bonus bluray over a DVD copy. I've noticed quite a few people selling the DVD copies on ebay although it's not something I would consider as I would always want to keep the set completely intact.

If I'm not mistaken, only the window box pack had exclusive DVD extras on a third disc, the amaray release merely had a DVD copy of the film, not the film festival round table and Italian trailer reel.

You are 100% correct sir as I have just checked the back of the box. That makes me even happier.

If anyone has the UK Arrow release of Evil Ed this week, can you confirm whether it is completely uncut?

Previous UK release, 2 seconds from 1 scene are missing.

Considering Ferman is about 20 years gone and "blood on breast" being one of his many mandatory BBFC cuts we can safely presume it's been reinstated.

But just to make sure I've just checked the original cut blu-ray at the point you mention and the shot is indeed present and correct.

Is it safe to assume these days that if Arrow is releasing something new in both US and UK that the blu-ray discs in both versions are A/B?

Yes, it would be needlessly expensive to author two version of a release that are identical other than a few megabits of region coding. I wouldn't be surprised if many of their dual territory releases are flagged for region C as well.

Anyone know if we can expect a reprisal of the HMV Academy sale they had last year?
