How to clean a Plasma TV

I have a Samsung plasma I haven't used for a while. I also have a Vizio E Series.
I found I didn't have to clean my plasma screen because nothing seems to stick to it anyway, including normal dust particles. A dry microcloth lightly passed over it does the job.

I used screen cleaner on a Samsung LCD years ago. It worked. But on my Vizio LCD, it caused a smudge I can't get rid of, in the area where I tested it.

It doesn't affect the viewing quality but there is still a big ugly smudge when the lights are on. I can't get rid of it. Nothing helps. Fortunately my Vizio is in a dark room day and night.

Test a small area first.
