I'm probably going to go to Hell one day because of the number of women's prison movies in my collection.

The Women in Cages Collection (The Big Bird Cage / The Big Doll House / Women in Cages), Black Mama, White Mama, Switchblade Sisters, Sweet Sugar, Female Prisoner Scorpion: The Complete Collection, etc.

...and now Hellhole, Womens Prison Massacre, and The Naked Cage.

It just sort of happened by accident at first, because I like Roger Corman movies and Jack Hill movies, but, before I knew it, I had a bunch of them.

Some of them are gloriously outrageous and some of them are a bit too grim for my tastes, but they're all interesting.

CHOOSE SIX:

The thing
Day of the dead
Return of the living dead
Nightbreed
Night of the demons
The fog
Scarecrows
Army of darkness
TCM 2
Halloween 2
Psycho 2
Black Christmas
Dolls
Pumpkin head
Assault on precinct 13
From beyond
People under the stairs
Child's play
Exorcist 3
Lord of illusions

Also looking for a good double feature and any other recommendations you may have. Thanks!
From this list, Black Christmas and The Thing are horror classics. Scream's presentations are supposedly top notch. Return of the Living Dead is also a classic and Scream restored most of the music.

My choices:
The thing
Day of the dead
Return of the living dead
The fog
Army of darkness
Black Christmas

This is assuming that you don't have any of these on yet. My understanding is the Day of the Dead isn't a huge upgrade if you own the AB disc.

I don't think Shout! Factory has any plans to release any feature films in 4K at this time.

I don't post here much so I imagine no one cares but I picked up The Howling, Tales From the Hood, and Prince of Darkness. I might go back for Terror Train and New Year's Evil.

As great as this sale is, I'm fairly hyped for the October release announcement.

I own Halloween 2, Army of Darkness, The Fog, Halloween 3, Return of the Living Dead, and The Thing... so I obviously recommend those.

I enjoyed Psycho 2, although that and Halloween 2 were only $7 at Deep Discount last month. Assault on Precinct 13 unlike most other JC movies but enjoyable in a low budget, 70s way... I may pick it up later, I own 7 or 8 other Carpenter films. Pumpkinhead is enjoyable if you like dark, bleak monster movies.

Now all you need Owl is Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS, probably the best WIP movie there is

I missed that they had hellhole, thanks. All I need is caged women, caged heat, and red heat and I'll be good on WIP films...

Red Heat definitely is... though again it has nothing in common with those other titles

Well, ignoring licensing partnerships and what-not...

Child's Play sequels CEs or boxset
Jaws sequels CEs or boxset
Big Trouble in Little China CE
Other Carpenter title CEs
Other DePalma title CEs

One way or another, I figure we'll see a boxset, or some big name directors, some franchise sequels, or some double dips. Probably several of those things.

Women in Cages, which is a part of The Women in Cages Collection, is pretty icky, and I felt as though I needed to take a shower when I was finished watching it. The other two movies in that collection, the ones that were made by Jack Hill, have a spirit of fun to them, but Women in Cages is quite bleak.
The Female Prisoner Scorpion movies are pretty hard-edged as well.

I hear that Womens Prison Massacre is a pretty grim production, but we'll see...

I'd say Women's Prison Massacre is more sexual than your average Scream title (I believe there is more than one gratuitious lesbian shower scene), but would fit right in with, say, the Blue Underground label

As for depravity, it's probably relatively toned down for an Italian movie featuring women in prison...

I watch a lot of movies though, so take these memories with a grain of salt

Will the October titles be announced at the San Diego Comic Con or sooner?
