Default The Dark Knight

So from the past two days of being on this site I have seen more love for TDK than I have any other movie ever made, so I wanted to know this from all you die hard TDK fans

Best movie of the year? or Best movie ever?

While I loved the movie, I'm actually a bigger fan of Batman Begins.

great movie, but neither best picture or best movie ever. i honestly dont even think it ranks up in my top 50 best movies, but it is a damn good movie, definitely one of the best superhero movies ive seen.

TDK is probably my favourite movie ever however I switch everyday between it and SP2 so I would they're tied. I just watch Dark Knight for the fifth time last night and it is just as good as if not better than the first time I saw it.

3rd best movie ever for me. Just behind Gladiator & Man on Fire respectively.

I agree...it's strange because it's not really a batman movie; it's a joker movie. Fantastic movie, but I also prefer batman begins.

I might change my mind later on this: I only saw Dark Knight once in theatres, while it was good, it's not even in the running for favorite movie of the year (probably Hellboy 2,though I didn't make it to see many movies in theatres this year). Or favorite "Comic-book" movie (hands-down "The Crow). Sheesh, not even favorite Batman movie (Batman Begins).

I might be crazy for saying this, but I felt as though the Joker was the most sane character in the movie. And Maggie over Katie, come on!

It's good, but not the best movie ever. I would say that it is in my top ten.

The more I watch TDK, the less I like it. I just start to point out ridiculous things and terrible acting.

However, to put this "dislike" into numbers, first time viewing it was 9.5/10, now it slowly approaches a 9.

The oppisite for me. The more I watch it, the more I like it. I watched it last night for the fifth time and like it just as much if not more then the first time. I have noticed a few mistakes through out the movie but nothing worth talking about.

I've only seen the movie once in theaters.

Once I looked past a lot of the hype. I did not think it was a great movie. There were too many "popcorn movie" plot holes.

Such as:
[Show spoiler]the whole underground chase scene in the van, and the falling from a 30 story building and just walking away scene.

I really do not like Popcorn movie plot holes....

I will get it in blu-ray though. The Joker was great.

Definitely not the best movie ever. Easily the best of the year, though *cough* (next to Burn After Reading).

I'll have to get back you on this one. There are still a few more I need to see from this year as I don't go to the theater often.

Great movie this year but certainly not the Best.

My personal pick for best is The Fall.

Like I said before...TDK is the Halo of movies (way overrated).
TDK is not the best movie of the year.
TDK is not the best movie ever.
TDK is not the best superhero movie ever.
Did it showcase one of the most memorable performances ever?...YES.

agree with all his points. it is a great movie, and i think it is ONE of the best superhero movies ever, but not THE best, in addition to showcasing one of the best villian performances ever.

I agree with you on the Crow, its my favortie comic book movie too, but I digress. TDK is a great and awesome [comic book] movie but I don't think its the best movie ever. Best Movie of 2008, possibly but I have only really watched some of the summer blockbuster popcorn flicks, so I can't really say. IMO, Iron Man was great as was the Incredible Hulk and I think they are on par or equally as good as TDK.

After a second viewing of the TDK, it got kind of boring for me and my second viewing was in IMAX(while my first was just in a regular movie theater). Also Bale's dialogue was a bit corny and cheesy whenever he spoke as Batman. It sounded like he was constipated or something. Like most people, I too think the Joker made the movie and I for one would never get bored of watching the scenes he was in.
