Its universally agreed that that particular Pioneer is the best you can currently get, BUT...is it truly worth the huge price difference to you? Every expert review that I've read says that its better than Panasonic's top models, but not by much. In fact, none of the reviewers could even tell without them being side by side. And even then they had to thoroughly scrutinize the two. It all boils down to how much you are willing to spend on a tv at a certain size. For instance, THIS 58" Panny on Amazon is just under $3000 with free shipping. Now is 2" and a slightly better picture worth $2000 more to you? Even cheaper is THIS 58" Panny at just under $2600 with free shipping. How about THIS 65" Panny for $5300 free shipping. If you're gonna spend five grand then I think the extra 5" is worth the trade off of a slightly better picture. Just my opinion, but I don't have thousands to throw around for minor gains in picture quality.
