HMV has this listed at £15.99 for the special edition ... i've spoken to amazon and they've agreed to look into the possibility of lowering their price asap in order to avoid a loss of orders - it's currently about £8 more expensive at amazon.

sounds like the definitive release, a shame that it's region locked

Bit the bullet and ordered off HMV. Taking too long waiting for Amazon's price to lower.

I wondered why the Amazon price was so much, but chalked it down to it been a special edition.

Is the Special Edition a jumbo Amaray or double pack? It looks pretty thick on Amazon.

I'm hoping it's like the Nymphomaniac Director's Cut release. A two disc standard amray with snazzy slipcover.

It's just a slipbox with 2 amaray cases in it. I guess it's too much to ask for a booklet or something.

Well, I've cancelled at Amazon and ordered at HMV. They've had plenty of time to change the price.

Ditto. You'd think having had it pointed out to them they'd do something about it.

On some titles they now aren't price matching HMV until release day, as they did that with at least one of this week.'s new Indicator releases. Not sure why they wait so long as they must be losing orders to HMV.

i did that too. tbh, i expect amazon to drop the price on release / shipping, but i think they should have done so asap after the HMV price appeared. i did a chat with CS at amazon twice, and they were understanding the 1st time, belligerent the 2nd. i did pick up a bit of info i wan't previously aware of, that suppliers apparently set the price differently as each re-stock occurs - so even if the initial price is high with both parties, they're a little tied by one another.
