Re-reading that linked quote, I want Elio Petri's Todo Modo. I wonder if Arrow have access to the 4K scan?

I'm expecting Ophüls' Le plaisir, Godard's La Chinoise and maybe the promised Wilder and/or Rossellini.

They could spring a surprise though. Raul Ruiz, Shuji Terayama, Victor Erice, Hou Hsiao-Hsien, Edward Yang, Tsai Ming-Liang...there's lots of things that I'd love.

With the caveat that that could be referring to the then-upcoming US release of Three Brothers. I'd be surprised if we don't get more Rosi though.

Still in the hands of Kinoglazorama worldwide, I believe.

Exactly. I just find it amusing how certain phrases have different meanings either side of the Atlantic which throw out the filters.

Thanks again to the unmatched leaking skills of Dr Waddell (at least it's a touch more subtle than usual), it appears J.D's Revenge is with Arrow. Very happy about this one. I guess this could be among tomorrow's announcements. Should be a new restoration too given that it needed a HD master:

Bit bummed Arrow have The Villainess but that's what imports are for. JD's Revenge is fun too (oops) @88_Films should do more blaxploitation

Okay , because its not obvious to everybody ..could somebody explain to me is Calum Waddell working for Arrow or a disgruntled ex employee ?

Don't want to take it off topic so maybe a PM from someone would suffice, thanks.

Professor of Films and freelance documentary maker (some to be fair are very good) who produced many of the bonus features on early Arrow Video releases. Fell out with them and never got over it. Constantly shit stirring on Twitter.

I believe his ongoing grievance largely concerns Arrow continuing to use his extras for re-releases/US releases, which he claims he has ownership of (it would seem they dispute this).

He's monitoring this thread so allow me to put that in his own words:

Quote:
Not disgruntled ex employee - disgruntled person who has had intellectual property stolen and it kicked off again yesterday. Read my tweets.
Quote:
They don't dispute it. They accept we have full ownership per recent emails. Until Ewan Cant decided to argue against his own staff ystrday

Romero 3 movie set looks likely to be announced tomorrow. The Crazies, Season of the Witch and There's always Vanilla id say. I am hoping for American Horror Project 2, that would be amazing. A special edition of The Thing ala Pieces, complete with Vinyl soundtrack would make my year. The only thing i would love more than all of them combined would be a Blind Dead set.

Is it confirmed that they have a third Romero film?

I'm wondering if they might announce Rawhead Rex. We know Kino are releasing it in October, from a 4K restoration, so it might be that they're splitting costs with Arrow. Just a guess of course.

Since I seem to have been automatically asterisked, I will merely explain to the US-type people that a five-letter word beginning with "pu", ending in "y" and having two "s"s in the middle is generally taken in English English as referring to a cat, a thing surely not needing of censorship. Thank you for your attention.
I don't see how swear/cuss words are not permitted but this is.
Cool image though. I'm liking it.

The DVD set is quite one to beat. I always thought the PQ was stunning for DVD, plus the booklet was informative. I have the US coffin box.

Yeagh i know but still, imagine what arrow could do with the blind dead. A Peter Jackson interview about the blind dead's infuence on shooting the ringwraiths on horses in LOTR would be a very cool extra.

Me too, its fantastic.
I had my hopes up when the Australians recently released Tombs but they decided only to do a DVD release
I would be happy enough to just see them released in HD without a ton of extras, although a full on special edition loaded with goodies would be amazing.
