The same issue is on the mono mix of Shout's Day of the Dead release as well. Unfortunately it's the only audio track available, so I kept my Anchor Bay release and put it in a 2 disc case with the Shout version. These are sound issues that just can't be ignored.

I'm going to re-post this here from Himmel's original post that was moved to the International forum as it deserves as much attention as it can get.

I never thought we'd see the day that a full uncut Ghoulies II would arrive. The differences are fairly minor but interesting none the less. The youtube video above clearly demonstrates what has been added back in.

Is this a case of standard def material being added back in or is it all from HD elements?

All HD Materials if the youtube video is to be believed, since it shows exactly what was cut out and how it looks in HD.

Even if you aren't interested in this new release, the youtube video is interesting if for no other reason than to see the long unseen footage.

Are these scenes on the SF BD? If not will we ever see a new edition with these extras? I can import this edition as I have a region free player.

They are as extras only unfortunately but the audio on the SF release is terrible anyways with really bad sibilance and hiss issues so if you are region free this will most likely have better audio.

They're a possibility from Vestron (Lionsgate).

Yeah they've really upped their in store selection of Horror titles recently. Plenty of Scream Factory, Shout Select, and Vestron titles have shown up in my store over the last few months. It's really given me a lot of hope that we'll get a good Halloween selection/display this year.

So is the German release the only uncut version of II on record? The UK release from 101 Films is the same as SF?

Coming from an Australian company (not Umbrella). Hopefully it's region free.

Part IV was just announced this week so its still a little ways out from release. I would imagine that assuming it's not a limited release that places like diabolik, jbhifi and others would carry it.

If there are any Ghoulies fans on here who would be interested; a friend of mine on another forum who is a huge Ghoulies fan, is releasing a Ghoulies Companion Book on Kickstarter. Exclusive interview with Phil Fondacaro, etc..

The book is edited and ready to go, but the Kickstarter only gets funded if the goal is met. Further details about the book are on the above link.

Can anyone comment on the different editions of Ghoulies 2? I own the edition that comes in the Charles Band Empire Box Set; is this the PG-13 cut? Diabolik is now offering the German edition with an uncut R-rated version, but the Scream Factory version (which is the Empire version) is listed as R-rated. Does the German edition have uncut material?

Look at post #104, the video shows the uncut scenes. Yes, the german NSM release is uncut.
Edit: there are also amarays of both movies uncut which are vastly cheaper than the mediabooks.
