(Not so) Lucky Whitehead just can't stay out of NFL news.

Cowboys’ Lucky Whitehead arrested, warrant issued for shoplifting

Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead was reportedly arrested for shoplifting last month, then had a warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to appear in court to answer for the charge.

Whitehead’s initial arrest took place on June 22 in Virginia, according to TMZ. At that time, he was accused of taking less than $200 worth of items from a convenience store.

On July 6, Whitehead failed to show up at Prince William County Court for an appearance related to the June 22 arrest, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He will now also face a charge of failure to appear in court.

It’s been an odd offseason for Whitehead, who said last week that his dog had been taken and was being held for ransom, then said a day later that his dog had been returned.

Whitehead has an uphill battle to make the Cowboys’ roster, and off-field distractions won’t help.

Ahem, I have heard from a very reliable source that the first 4K game being targeted is the SD @ DAL Thanksgiving game this year as I reported elsewhere in this thread.

According to Lucky Whitehead's agent all charges have been dropped against Whitehead and cops had the wrong guy. I'm sure he wishes this had happened quicker since maybe then he'd still be on the Cowboys, and I wonder if he could potentially bring legal action against the city since their mistake cost him his job.

I was reading that his timeline for the whole "I wasn't even there" thing doesn't add up, but if it does, that's a shame. I'm sure there's some legal recourse he can take if necessary.

This is gonna come back to hurt the cowboys the backlash is gonna be great. Wrongly accused and you cut him and you got Elliot and a ton of other players who are pretty scummy. Can't wait for the excuses. Haha
