Are we sure it's going to stay at $10? Or will we all get jipped and charged $50 after this month?

I feel like there is some catch to this all.

If that happens just insist they cancel your membership. If enough people complain (and they will) they pretty much have to honor refunds and cancellations unless they're completely crooked, which is possible but unlikely.

Even if it gets bumped up to $50, I'll live with it. I tend to see at least 5-6 movies in the cinema per month anyway. Now it will be more like 10-12, so I'm happy either way. I'm only sorry I hadn't heard of this service until yesterday.

It said if you signed up now, the $10 a month would be locked in for a full year.

Disappointed about not being able to buy advanced tickets as I buy advanced tickets 100% of the time, even if it's just the day before. The theater I frequent the most is constantly sold out days before the release date so I might have to wait a week or two before seeing a movie.

I'd save money if I only saw two matinees a month at the cheapest theater in NYC, this seems like a no brainer. $10 a month for "unlimited" movies will definitely get my butt in the seat of a movie I had no interest in, even try new chain. I haven't been to Regal since Frozen (mostly go to AMC Dolby or any AMC with reclining seats )

I keep trying to find a way to see if any of my theatres here in Wichita are covered under this, but I can't seem to find any sort of "Supported Theatres" listing anywhere?

NYC ticket prices are so high this thing pays for itself if you just see one movie a month.

A user on Reddit made a small website that shows which locations support Moviepass.

Going to try and sign up for this. Hell it's $20 just for matinee tickets for the girlfriend and me to see a movie. Might as well try it out and if the reserved seating theater we have becomes too much of an issue we can always cancel since it's a month-to-month thing.

Not your fault. The creator said the website has slowed down significantly due to the amount of traffic it has gotten.

Site worked smoothly late last night after midnight. I'd recommend signing up then if you can stay up around that time. That's midnight EST btw.

I will never do this even at $10.

You can't see movies more than once. I like to pay and see certain movies multiple times during their cinema run. Plus it's a hassle unless you go alone to see movies.

That's false.

You're allowed to see the same movie multiple times. They changed that when they changed the 24 hour/calendar day rule.

So what's the rule? Their site is very slow. This would be really interesting to me. I'd use it especially for the Indy flicks. Not sure how this effects their bottom line though as the big boys would still be getting money.

Unfortunately I can't see what theaters in my zip code are allowed.
