Always worth to check firmware updates, there was a critical update a couple of years ago to all C models. also some preventative maintenance is suggested, open the panel in the back and check for excess dust in there. there are videos on youtube showing what to do. I have a similar model but C9 and just recently it started shutting of by itself with a red light, often I just turn it on and off and it stops but sometimes I have to unplug it out of the outlet for a min or 2 for it to stop. I assume also those TV sets are reaching their end of life cycle too (about 8 to 10 years).

I'm not finding a link to that firmware update from Mitsubishi.

I went to to the doocuments/downloads page for my model and all it has PDFs for manuals and spec sheets.

Would you happen to have a link?
