Unhappy Where are the Booklets?

I have about 20 blurays and none of them have any booklets or even a sorry piece of paper in them about the movie. I was really disappointed to open my LOST season 4 bluray and find nothing, when my friend's DVD has a nice booklet with it. I understand they are probably cutting costs, and it's not going to make me stop buying blurays of course, but come on guys, stop being so cheap with big sellers like LOST and The Dark Knight (also with nothing).

I got about the same amount of Blurays and the only papers inside are ads for other BD movies.

I'm sure that once more people start buying blurays that all the ones we have now will be re-released as "Ultimate Collector's Edition" with more in them for collectors. I just hope by that time they will be putting the movie and special features all on one disc like they were bosting about at first

That is weird because my Lost: S4 had a booklet inside with the episode list

what are you talking about? LOST season 4 blu-ray has a booklet that mimics an in-flight safety manual. It's humorous and doesn't say much about the show, but it's there.

If you want booklets with your Blu's then pick up Natural Born Killers, Bonnie and Clyde, One Flew Over Then Coo coos Nest, Poltergeist, Shawshank Redemption and the upcoming Amadeus release. Those come with some really nice booklets. In fact they look just like a little book.

Chapter cards are not needed when all you have to do is hit the pop up menu button. That's something dvd can't do.

Hmmm, strange. I just got my LOST Season 4 in today from Amazon and it had nothing. My friend was describing the same thing you are that he got in his standard DVD copy. Ah, well, no big deal, but I'd rather have had it than not.

Aren't most DVD's getting rid of the extra booklet stuff as well? I haven't been purchasing DVD's for the past 2 years, but I know before I stopped there were hardly ANY titles with booklets.

Instead of booklets, we get cardstock slipcovers which reproduce the front and back cover art exactly.

What a complete waste of paper. One slipcover is the equivalent to a good 10-page booklet.

yeah I don't see the point in companies spending money to produce booklets that you might read twice. Its not like a game where its handy to have the controls right there in front of you in the book. Aside from maybe a letter from the creators, everything you need for a movie is on the back cover or implemented in the menus actually on the disc/s. There is also no kickback from just having a little booklet, whereas advertisements can create revenue on more sales.
