I just looked up Vampire Circus. It IS only available now from second hand sellers. They won't send any copies out of the country. It had nothing to do with the film rating. I think you are good to go with the box set!

So there's one title missing of the 8 UK scheduled? Which one?
At any rate I'm up for this. This actually brings the discs down to what they are worth rather than the £15 + they'll want for the UK discs and the chances are the German discs will be identical.

You were likely trying to order from a seller rather than Amazon.

Just placed my order for the 7 movie set and it went though fine

To The Devil, A Daughter. Maybe it is a mistake and it will be included. Why would they just skip that one?

It says Studio Canal are releasing it so the discs should be identical which means language options could be the first screen to appear and once you've chosen English it should be exactly the same as the UK set.
German subs would appear where required only if you choose German on the opening menu.

I can't find an actual German release of the film on dvd so maybe SC don't own the German rights.
If they do I suspect it will be added later. The disc total still isn't showing.
Amazon Germany shows several dvd's including UK, Dutch and French but I don't see a local one at all

Even better, the German boxset comes out a full month before some of the British releases.
The UK releases are up on Amazon at a mere £22.99 each.

I don't think I have a single UK Hammer Blu from Studio Canal. (Actually I have the steel of 100 Million Years BC) I have the Australian boxset + some individuals and now the rest will be covered by a German set.
Says a lot about how successfully marketed the UK versions are. Although the Oz discs are from Shock the German discs should be clones of the UK discs so why pay £14.99 let alone £22.99 each?

It was a German co-production with Terra-Filmkunst - Hammer never had the German rights. Since the other major Anglo-German co-production from TF, Cross of Iron, came out in Germany from Kinowelt, which is now owned by StudioCanal (but wasn't when Cross came out on BD in Germany), it's possible they may have German rights, but since it never appears to have had a German DVD release they may have been tied up in legal limbo.

Just guessing but the IMDB has the German version running 4 minutes shorter.
Possibly there is an issue with the full version in Germany?

I'm sure if it was an issue in Germany it would also be an issue in the UK. The country has an obsession with underage girls being seen.
I've never actually sat through the whole film. Is she nude?

The rights issue seems the most likely

Well, this is super-good news. I was thinking I'd be in for 2 or 3 of the SC titles since these are all kind of bottom of the barrel Hammer for me, but truthfully, I'd love to have them all. And it's a good price. I'll happily splurge.
