what theyre doing is a good thing. and you say tiny area? it seems to me like its just the tip of the iceberg. home has a lot of potential. i imagine in 6 months- a year itll be way different and better. for somthing that is free, i think itll be successful.

Technically it may never launch. Beta's like this can last forever. Given that Home is going to always evolve through PS4+ you can count on it never being not a beta. That is why I say the open beta is the launch.

But you are right about it being a beta...I just dont see it ever moving forward from the title "open beta." Imagain Sony saying, "here is the final product, no more updates."

BTW, sorry for the errors in the poll... The second option should be "should NOT have launched"

Relax dude. EVERYONE knows this is the very first stage of the OPEN BETA. That question is not, "How do you like the finished product," The question is asking what your opinion on opnening the Beta this week is.

Just because it is a Beta does not mean people should not be unhappy with it. Because it is a OPEN BETA EVERYONE's opinion on the OPEN BETA matters and should be voiced.

So, what is your opinion? That it was put out at a good time? That is mime.

Home should have been launched 2 years ago. I played for 15 minutes and was bored to tears. I kept thinking "this could be amazing in a couple years" which just begs the question...what in the world has Sony been doing for the last 2??

Home launched at the right time. Now that its out there, its up to developers to embrace it and support it. Thats what will determine if it will be a sucess. We need to get games that take advantage of it.

I got on without too much trouble. I'm with the people who say Sony could've used their resources more constructively. I've gotten on like three times or so, played a few games and watched all the females(?) get endlessly sexually harassed. I realize it is a beta, but man is it booorrrrrring. It might have potential but I think it will be a long time before it's realized.

Note to Sony: Please just get your online straight across the board instead of wasting your time with this silliness. Thanks.

I have been enjoying it alot. I'll just be jacking around and it will be an hour or two hours that have gone by. There is a TON of potential for HOME. They had to get something out asap and now so they did the right thing by launching. They needed to combat the 360's new redesigned interface and the very lackluster ps3 sales recently. Maybe this will create some buzz about ps3 heading into Christmas and the new year.

If the advertising potential for Home hasn't become apparent to you by now, then I'm sure Sony will take your comments regarding this "silliness" to heart.

I think HOME is awesome so far. It is a beta so we have to keep that in mind, but as far as betas go, this already has lots to do. I'm very excited to see what comes in the future.

I think home is cool for the most part...this still being a beta.

Theres alot of people on it...The pool and bowling is fun...Make alot of new friends.

My gf even likes to play...I purchased a summerhouse and we bought some items and fixed it up...Its pretty cool to invite your friends to it.

It will be great if you can play your own music at your house...and play videos on tv at your house or something...Im sure this will be a option..

Its a beta...It cant be too soon...And for a beta i think its pretty awesome.

The note to Sony was rhetorical of course. I see a lot of potential for Home beyond the advertising (still doesn't mean I'll be seeing Twilight anytime soon). And I do realize this is a beta. But man, we waited all this time with all the delays for this. In it's present form it absolutely reeks of silliness.

It was on the plate at some point, that said. Don't expect it. Sony's legal department needs to be comfortable with it first.

I feel the same way. I found it increadibly boring and am not one to want to socialize online. I can't see myself using it again after the first time I went on. The kids seemed to like it though, but I am warry of letting them use it much. We have three PS3s so my two kids got on different ones so they could explore together. After about five minutes, the older one decided he did not want to have his little brother following him around and was teasing him by leaving and going to other areas. The oldest is 10 and he sent out the message, I am only 10, and quickly had several other users requesting to be added as a friend. That kind of worries me since you really have no idea who these people are.

It needed more time to bake the clubs were just starting to form there were still many things to test and now they launch broken...

I'd say they should have gave it another week at least another month or so at best.
