I was looking at the unboxing video and the BD disc is not the same from 2008. You can read "2017" on it.
So are we 100% sure it's the same video and audio encode? Seems strange to me if they only changed the artwork ![]() Last edited by MisterXDTV; 09-14-2017 at 12:52 PM. |

Not really, artwork isn't expensive to change.

And it's not like Sony specifically haven't done this before. They did this with the BDs in the Ghostbusters 4K releases. Just changed the artwork but used the same discs from the Digibook.
Of course there it wasn't an issue but the point stands. |

Sony have done this on pretty much every UHD of theirs, they change the artwork on the included BD - fresh remaster or an age-old disc, doesn't matter - to this bland blue design to match the bland black design of the UHD disc. **** knows why, but there you go.

Have there been any exceptions to the pattern of SONY providing separate blu-rays for remasters and forgoing them for reissues in UHD packs?
At any rate, I would probably prefer the existing blu; I've never been thrilled with the way the goosed color HDR regrades for 4K look when ported back to standard blu. .. |
