Latest e-mail makes it sound like it's gonna be awhile.

Why would people need weekly updates, unless you are many weeks behind schedule...

They already did explain it in their email. I posted most of it above

At this point I'm so confident in Moviepass that I think when mine is on it's way, the mailman will accidentally deliver it to the wrong house and the person in that house will just throw it in the trash.

Posters are giving almost daily updates here about cards not arriving, maybe they want to keep the spam down to a minimum.

No, they didnt. The explain the delay, and why some older orders had been skipped over, but they have never explained why they aren't fixing that mistake by stopping working on new orders and focusing on taking care of the older ones first, like they should.

P.S. turn off your Tapatalk signature.

Still didn't get mine today, and I will keep "spamming" as much as I want.

My Informed Delivery e-mail doesn't show any card today. Going on one month as of this Saturday.

For those that might still be confused on how to use MoviePass I'll break it down.

There are two transactions that are taking place, one with MoviePass and one with the theater.

First transaction (MoviePass App):
This is done through the app.
Select the theater you are at. You will need to be within 100 yards, give or take.
Pick the showtime you want to see. Available showtimes will be in red. Unavailable showtimes will be in grey.(3D, Imax, etc)
* The unavailable showtimes are hit or miss. I've seen 2D Imax available as well as Dolby Atmos, XD, and other premium screens. Sometimes you'll get lucky, sometimes not.
Lastly, you click "Check-In".
If successful, a certain amount will be added to your MoviePass mastercard. This ends your MoviePass transaction. (I believe the amount added is a max ticket price that MoviePass has picked for that particular theater, not necessarily how much the ticket actually costs)

Second transaction (The theater):
Now you have a mastercard with x amount of dollars on it.
This amount is available for 30 minutes.
Go purchase a ticket like you normally would. You can buy any ticket really. The show and time isn't going to be passed along with the credit card transaction. Just the amount, current time, and merchant.
The theater doesn't care or need to know that you are using MoviePass. It is just a debit MasterCard, so no need to tell them. In fact it might just confuse them.

You might have picked the 3pm showing in the app, but now want to see the 8pm show. Just buy the 8pm show. No need to do exchanges.

Upgrading to a premium show is more process. I got my card denied because it lacked the funds. The theater wouldn't let me split over two cards. (you might have better luck) So the safest bet would be to purchase the regular show, then exchange at the customer service desk to the premium show. Just make sure they don't refund the first ticket back to the MoviePass MasterCard. Otherwise you are just paying for the full ticket again. Some theater's policies might be that they need to refund the first ticket, then repurchase the second. If that is the case, you are SOL.

No, they explained that they screwed up the order of the requests from Aug 15th and 16th. They did NOT explain why they continue to fill orders received since then, instead of focusing on getting rid of the backlog.

It is completely unacceptable that people who ordered a card weeks after Moviepasses' ****up have already received their cards, while people who ordered their cards FIRST are still waiting.

Yesterday, for the first time ever, the mailman was off by one in every box in my apartment building's communal mailbox, and I got none of my own mail, and all of my neighbor's mail. If I hadn't checked Informed Delivery to confirm that the card wasn't delivered yesterday, I would totally believe there's a massive conspiracy to keep me from going to movies for cheap.

Does it reset at midnight so you can theoretically buy a 10pm ticket then a 12am ticket?

I believe it's been answered yes, you can see a movie before midnight (not 12:01am obviously), and then it resets if you want to visit again the next day, or even that morning.

Which time zone specifically it resets, I don't know, but it's irrelevant since theaters close down after midnight showtimes unless it's a Star Wars situation where they have like 3am and 5am screenings lol.

I just got my card. I forgot how it worked when i got it years ago, so to activate it you just have to go see your first movie? I thought you would have to do it on the website.
