Anyone think this might become one of those cult following sleepers once it's on DVD?

It had no promotion, of course it did poorly. I never heard of it until I saw this story yesterday.

Here's the trailer--
I believe the operative question is "...What do YOU think? "

I don't know what to think after that trailer, I guess a direct to dvd would have been the best way. Still amazed that many people did voice work for it

It's the Doogal/Happily N'Ever After rule:
If you see an animated you've never heard of, with a seeming parade ofA/B-list cast voice credits, then it's either
A) a foreign acquisition or
B) an indie,
that was able to hire the usual voicework suspects for literally a day or two of in-studio mike work.

(Double that if you see "Val Kilmer", "Freddie Prinze Jr." or "Eric Idle" on the cast list...)

Meh - I can't remember where I saw the trailer, but the first thing that I thought was "That's one to avoid..." It's unfortunate, but what can you do?

We're showing this at my theatre now - we've been running trailers for a month or so. It's doing lousy and we're dropping it Thursday. I've only poked my head in a few times - it really should have been straight to video. The sound is lacking - I watched a long scene of two guys talking and there were long pauses and it was then I noticed there was no background music or sound fx, nothing. I'd say at least half of those coming to see it walk out. A good chunk of them came because they thought it was Despereaux (which doesn't open until this Friday).

It's playing at a theater near me too. I thought the sign said Diego... as Dora's cousin or what ever, so i was gonna take my nephew. Guess not now.
