The one thing stopping me is buying advanced tickets. My theater has assigned seating, and they offer the tickets for sale up to 10 days early, if I had to wait for the day of, all the good seats will be taken. Just to be clear, it won't let you go to the kiosk, pick out a seat for an upcoming day and use the card at check out?

No, it needs to be day of.

Raising the price later on will depend on whether or not theater chains eventually start sharing their earnings with them, so they can be stable. Because when eventually everyone gets their cards thats going to be a whole lot of moolah movie pass will be spending/losing.

Also don't get me wrong, I'm well aware of what a fantastic deal this is, and I know I'm going to love using the card as much as I can, while I can. When it finally arrives. But I and others are allowed to feel some frustration over the long wait.

On that note, Reallllllly hope tomorrow will be the day. Would like to go see Spider-Man homecoming again before its gone.

I was able to get away with getting an assigned seat in a decent section of the theatre when I saw IT on opening weekend with moviepass so it's a bit of a gamble but it can pay off. I was with some friends that didn't have moviepass so we kind of had to work out the logistics when it came to sitting together but it all worked out. Honestly, it's worth getting. I've seen 3 movies so far using the card (that I would have seen anyway) and have saved myself a little over 30 bucks! That's cash money in my pocket, yo!

I would probably go $14.99 a month; at $20 I start thinking twice. Only a couple months a year where it would be the cheaper option. Otherwise, I just use movie cash

Probably could have been 2 or 3 times that if people would actually get their cards!

Honestly, though, huge movies like IT are not where Moviepass is going to make a difference. People are going to see those no matter what. It's the smaller movies that many people will go and see with Moviepass that they otherwise wouldn't see in theaters or would wait for DVD, Netflix, etc.

It's now past the one month mark for my wife and I. I would have thought one of us would receive it by now.

At my theater the XL screen is $15, so this will pay for itself it's easily. It's fine, I'll just have to see the popular movies their 2nd weekend, which is no big deal. Sometimes the earliest showing on a Saturday is wide open.

Well, the first month has come & passed for me and my card. I used it 10 times, so I'd say I got my money's worth.

(It only lists 9 movies, because one theater isn't set up in the MoviePass app yet, but still accepts it. The 10th movie was Ingrid Goes West)

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Ingrid Goes West were both re-watches. I had already seen both before.

All this talk of how high you'd be willing to spend for this service...I'd go up to $35 without a second thought. Once it hits $50, I'd second guess it...but still probably stay with it.

Hell, 10 movies at $12.50 a pop is $125...all for $9.95.

A friend and her wife in the same city as us ordered on the same day as my boyfriend and me (8/16). They received theirs last week and have used it a bunch since. We're still waiting.

Friends in the Moviepass thread, I just want to let you all know that miracles do exist as my Moviepass arrived in the mail today. I want to encourage all of you to keep hope alive.

Take that, Batman90!

Signed up for it just now. As much as I like going to my premium theaters -- I can manage going a couple of times to a non-posh one and getting my $9.95's worth per month.

The CEO said people who ordered August 15 and past their card won't ship until The first week of October. So yeah I wasn't going to wait that long after paying for something that was supposed to be here in 7 to 10 days.

Card arrived today (ordered 08/16/17), and I have at last joined the privileged few. Gonna take me awhile to get over my rage at the delay, though. I'm guessing 12 movies or so by October 1st should do it.

Hate seeing all these people without cards going on a month now, but just bear in mind they were not expecting this amount of interest. At the time they had a staff of 9 people. Not making excuses for them, but going from 22k subscribers (as of 2014) to hundreds of thousands overnight isn't something any small business can smoothly transition to.

And to be honest, it seems they are almost completely handeling it. Besides delayed cards, everything else has worked fine for me. Still waiting on my girlfriends, and my mom's card to show up. but from using mine, the service just works! Can't complain for $9.95 when movie tickets cost $12.

Glad I don't have to make that sacrifice. My #1 favorite theater in my area is included.

My brother tried joining yesterday but the website didn't let him. Got a "Cannot complete action at this time" message.

Technically it's against the TOS, but it can be done if you're willing to drive to the theater to buy your ticket in advance. Just check in for something else that's playing the night that you're there, and instead of buying that ticket, just buy the advance ticket instead.

MoviePass doesn't know what you're actually buying with the card, they only know that you spent the correct amount of money at the correct location. So as long as the ticket you're buying is the same price as the one you checked in for, you're golden. I have done it many times.

You still would've paid the same amount since you wouldn't be activating your card till you got it
