I'd like to throw this out there, and hopefully not fuel the fire.....

I have an "isolation pad" under my subwoofer, and find that it prevents some of the unwanted vibrations from going directly into the floor-boards, and thus to the equipment etc..... I'm not suggestion it's a huge difference, nor am I suggesting it's too small to notice..... so I think just because some may feel the isolation pads/spikes, etc.. are "snake oil" I don't see the purpose of attacking the OP.


By the way, my "isolation pad" is a section of astro-turf that came with my stadium seating..... fake grass on top, but it's a solid inch/inch and 1/4 thick of rubber....... gets the job done
