Pioneer receivers are generally quite good. However, this receiver(if the model number is correct) is quite old. I can't even confirm whether or not it has Component video inputs/outputs. I would suggest requesting either a list of connections or a photo of the back of the unit to make sure that it satisfies all of your needs.

Here's a good receiver from Onkyo at a very low price, considering the features it has...

Yep, Onkyo fans and/or employees demonstrate a lot of hustle.

agreed.

first off, heres the manual

its an older model, and im not quite familiar with this one in mind, but i do know that they have some very good amps built in them. not as good as burr brown dacs found in yamahas, they do have some pretty good stuff out there. its got acceptable power details in it, but i was more concerned about the THD levels. which in this case seems to be alright.

i do have to say tho, at times, specs are just specs on paper.

heres some details given out by previous owners, via audioreview...

here

again, take these with a grain of salt. not everyones an expert as they claim to be.

at this point id consider the cost vs value option. i wouldnt be paying more than $100 clams for this one.
