I got a reply from one of their CS representatives back in February of 2015 that stated: "please be advised that we do price match items shipped and sold by Amazon.com so long as the order has not shipped yet or it is not more than 7 days from the date it was delivered." (I asked them if they did this as someone had claimed it was so on one of the Blu-ray.com forum threads).

Lately they have backed out of this, though. No explanation, just "We don't do that!". But when the difference is as big as it is in this case I try anyway and refer to the mail mentioned above and this time it worked (but it is far from every time that it do!!).
Yeah I guess I'll just take this as a loss and miss out, I don't think it's worth the hassle of sending it back etc.

Happy for everyone getting this for that ridiculously low price but seriously annoyed at Amazon for giving everyone who pre-ordered it for more than twice as much the finger.

Amazon won't even price adjust for non-preorders that have yet to ship yet anymore, they will only offer to cancel the order for you so that you can re-order at the lower price. Unfortunately it's not really a surprise that they won't price adjust a week out at this point.

I'm getting the same thing with the Close Encounters price drop. I ordered a new one, when it gets here, I'll put the return label on the same package and hand it right back to them. It's so stupid but if that's how they want to play it then whatever. Can't see why they won't give me the $4 when it was delivered 4 days ago.

I didn't think we would see any sub $10 UHDs until Black Friday but this was a nice surprise so I jumped on it. Sucks for all the pre-orders though

Don't you have to pay for shipping? That alone is going to eat up the $3-$4 difference. Not worth it.

They assured me I wouldn't have to pay return shipping. I was very clear on that. I've done this before over a movie money situation and it turned out okay.

I just ordered this before my first sip of coffee or first email of the day. Hot damn what a deal! This has to be a mistake ?!?!!?

Reminds me of when BvS Extended Edition 4K was $10 last November. I know that had to be a mistake, somebody who didn't know the difference between UHD and regular BD was behind the scenes making price changes and probably got fired that day. It was literally only $10 for about and hour or two. It's still usually $25+ in stores! And I had a gift card too so it was free haha!

Proof;

Has to be an error. Under $10 for a new release a week after its release, and NOT a PM in any event? Someone messed up -- surprising it's still up there too!

GTFOH! Even at $9, as I'm still future proofing, no sale.
Would have thought an upgrade to AVC and DTS-HD MA or Dolby True HD 7.1 (being 20th Anniversary and all), would have been the go.

Bad trend that's happening. Blade Runner UHD's 1080pBD was also the same 10yo VC-1, highly compressed (16.88 Mbps) transfer that needs an upgrade, badly.
I can understand E.T UHD being the same 1080p disc (only came out a few years back), but Starship has a new 4K scan, so having a new BD transfer accompanying the 4K BD makes sense. Missed opportunity.

Really hope they don't pull that shit with Terminator 2 UHD and we get a newly minted 1080p transfer, 'cos the current Studio Canal VC-1 transfer in the Skynet edition is a waxy DNR'd mess.

I haven't upgraded to a 4K TV or player yet but just ordered because this is still about $3 cheaper than regular Blu Ray version. So I get the best worlds the Blu Ray I can watch now and when I do upgrade my system I'll already have my first 4K title

Under 15 with faster shipping, I went for that.
Unless that trips customs

Customs relates solely to the value of the item UNLESS it then exceeds the £15 limit, whereupon postage charges will THEN be incorporated into the taxable total. So it doesn't matter if your shipping cost is £50 as long as the item ITSELF is underneath £15. Which this most definitely IS.

Maybe Apple's iTunes pricing of $20 for new 4K and $7-$15 for older 4K titles has studios toying with comparable lower prices on UHD Blu-rays. There have been a few UHD Blu-rays briefly dropped to unheard of prices since the Apple event.
