I just feel because of his strong comic routes and recognition as such, he just wouldn't work in the dark & gritty world Nolan has created. He's a great comedian and I'm sure he could play the Riddler half decent, maybe. Though he'd just feel out of place I think. Just my opinion.

But for all we know Murphy could be a great actor, I mean who would have thought Adam Sandler could actually act before Punch Drunk Love? And the same with Robin Williams before One Hour Photo and Insomnia
