Once this movies anywhere idea takes off I wonder if anyone who went iTunes or UV will be screwed out of their purchases.

Why? Purchases/redemptions transfer across the participating providers. So if you got a $6.99 deal at Vudu, that movie will be in iTunes if it is Movies Anywhere enabled. Plus if its UV, it keeps that too so this is a huge win for consumers.
