The last scene of the movie after Derrick finds his brother murdered is Derrick looking in the mirror and shaving his head again.

There was a huge controversy with this film between the studios, the director, and Ed Norton. Tony Kaye didn't like the studios and his star meddling with his creativity and disowned the whole flick and Ed Norton was hired to replace Kaye and edit the movie himself. Kaye to this day has said he still wants nothing to do with the film. I love it regardless, but would be interested in seeing the original ending, though I'm pretty sure Kaye never got to shoot it.

edit: Ironically New Line Cinema is supposed to be working with Kaye on releasing a documentary he made about his struggle with the film called "Humpty Dumpty" sometime this year. Humpty Dumpty is the name Kaye chose when he tried to have his name removed from the credits and they told him to change it, so he did, but then the Directors Guild refused to allow it, so its as is now.
