Talking New Panny Plasma is up!

I just finished my HT remodel for my new Panny plasma.

It involved flipping the configuration of my living room 180 degrees (the old back is the new front), getting an electrical outlet installed for the plasma, getting 12 low-voltage outlets installed for in-wall A/V hookups and of course having the new plasma wall-mounted.

While I was at it, I decided to put in some new bias-lighting as well.

Please take a look and let me know what you think!

isn't bad for the plasma having it installed so close to the wall.....heat issues.

Looks Great Jim! I know it can be lots of work. You'll be able to enjoy this for a long time. Congrats, now go watch a movie and take a well deserved break

@swifty7:

Umm, no.

Plasmas, like LCDs, are designed by the manufacturers to be wall-mounted as an option.

With the mounting solution I'm using, there is a 2" clearance between the back of the set and the wall. No ventilation grills are blocked.

Besides, this set runs fairly cool. I've had it on for 12 continuous hours during my break-in period and it was still cool to the touch.

I don't know where the myth about plasmas running hot came from, but that is certainly not true about these new Panasonics. They !

Some plasmas do get hot but nothing dangerous like all those damn myths make it out to be. Those Panasonics, though, are awesome TV's. Nice, neat and clean setup.

don't know if it's just the picture or not, but are the bias lighting casting a kind of blue light on the wall? I'm assuming that's not LED.

Yes, that's LED bias lighting behind the TV (Cyron light bars).
