The font on the credits, for one.

Things like tons of typos in the credits, missing taglines in the opening credits (the unique taglines used for some episodes), the needlessly changed iconic fonts - those are just a few of the problems. My point is, fan consultation could be a very good thing, on everything from packaging to content to looking at a disc's authoring and encoding - really, every aspect of a release - especially as disc-based media is, dare I say, on its way to becoming a niche market.

Okay, that's is kind of bad about the typos (if you need to change the credits due to the original credits being SD made, at least type it right). Anyways, back on topic. I do sort of agree and if you notice more and more film fans are starting up home media companies.

Decided to pull the trigger and pick it up before work tonight. $26.74 out the door. Haven't watched the show yet (despite having Netflix) but I definitely want to support physical media. Look forward to checking it out.

The Xbox One thing is really annoying. I only have 2 HDMI's on my TV that are both occupied by something permanent that aren't bluray players (Comcast,XBone). I almost refuse to be switching HDMI cables every time I want to watch this show.

Hopefully the good sales (let's not lie, this will sell well regardless of being a store exclusive) of this will prompt Netflix to do more home media releases for the shows and films they fully own (loved to get all of Bojack Horseman on Blu-ray).

Exactly! I’m looking for stuff like I AM THE PRETTY THING THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE, HUSH, GERALD’S GAME and 1922.

This release seems to be hugely successful, which means season 2 is likely to be released on BD/DVD as well. Hopefully they continue with the VHS-style packaging, and we won't have to wait as long for a physical release this time

Yeah, the music is rad . I got a chance to sit down & rewatch the first Chapter "The Vanishing of Will Byers" with my brother who was the age of these characters in 83. I was reminded of how well done the show is. I'm gonna have some time this coming week to rewatch the other chapters before Season 2 releases Friday.

Someone at Reddit said the app got an updated yesterday and it's now working. Didn't check yet myself.

I think folks have spent, at least, triple the amount of time posting about skipping trailers than actually just letting them play.
Still like my workaround the best: get a drink/snack, maybe send a few text messages. Then watch the feature presentation.

My Xbox One is now able to play both discs. The solution found yesterday for skipping the forced trailer by inserting disc 2, selecting the first episode and swapping to disc one also works on the Xbox One.

My copy delivered yesterday. I am so stoked to have this show on Blu-ray. I was beginning to lose hope and this release came out of nowhere.

I'm curious as to why they put the Netflix logo upside down (obviously to represent the upside down) on the DVD's but not the Blu-ray's.

Seconded. I would love if my owning the entire series of Stranger Things looked like a wall of VHS tapes

Love that line, thank you! (new to me as a non-native English speaking member)

Three questions regarding the non-skippable trailers:
  • Which trailer plays for Season 2, the first (= Comic Con) or the second (= final) trailer? (fingers crossed for the CC trailer, this one's awesome!)
  • Just to get it right: The trailers only play once before you're taken to the disc menu, not after/before every episode on disc one, right?
  • What show is the second trailer for and what's the succession (i.e. Stranger Things Season 2 first, then the other one, or the other way around)?

Thank you!

Probably because leaving one right side up represents the regular dimension and the other way represents the upside down.
