Stranger Things: Season 1 (2016) (Target Exclusive)

I didn't intend on watching this yet but out of curiosity, I checked out the first disc to see what people were complaining about in regards to the unskippable trailers... and... it was just two Netflix trailers. One for Stranger Things, the other for The Defenders. Really? That caused a stir? Yikes.

Watched a couple episodes before bed, though. This looks amazing on Blu-ray! Also, my second disc was fine, save for a couple tiny scratches. Lucked out!

Did I say 100%, it's actually 0%. What it actually was must have been residue from being too close to the cardboard. I cleaned the disc and the circles are gone. Disc played fine by the way. So if you have a disc two with what looks like cirules from rubbing just clean the disc and they should be gone.

I never watched this show before, but I had to buy it. My boy says it’s a great show, and Winona is one of my favorite actresses ever. So far the show is pretty good.

Users with Xbox One problems. Xbox released an update for the Blu-ray Player App and now the discs work flawlessly.

I received mine in the mail on Thursday and the dvd discs were loose and scratched. Also the hub for one of the dvd disks was broken off. I contacted Target and they gave me a full refund and I can keep the damaged one. The blu-ray discs have no damage to them.

If anything being older makes me less tolerant of unskippable previews since I've only had to deal with them maybe once or twice previously in my nearly 20 years of collecting DVD's and blu-rays.

A lot of thought was clearly put into this set and that makes it all the more baffling that they'd do something so buyer-unfriendly.

With all due respect I just get some snacks or grab a few beers & then the title screen comes up, it’s just people repeating the same thing over & over. Some of it I even think is made up just to gain attention.

Swapped out a new blank case for the Scott Pilgrim case which has two places for discs, and put the DVD from that release on a spool (really, when am I ever going to watch the DVD anyway?). Looks fantastic! The Stranger Things DVD's can stay in the VHS packaging, since that's more appropriate for an antiquated format anyway.

Episode Four. That's when it got good for me, though I still think it's too much like other things in the past. And I just can't believe Winona as a mother.

The cover was shared in this thread a few pages back. I took it to OfficeMax, had them print it on nice photo paper, used their cutter. Cost me 73 cents.

The show gets great with multiple viewings. I liked it the first time through. Really liked it the second time. LOVED it the third time. Give it time to grow on you.

I've had this happen before with my copy of the first Hobbit movie. I returned it and got another one and it was the same way, so I'm assuming it's a normal thing. Haven't picked up Stranger Things yet but can't wait to get it, love the show.

damn you're lucky. I went to 2 different officemax's and they said because of copyright issues its illegal for them to print it and told me tough luck.. They were actually being dicks about it too

Condescending, I mean she’s almost 46 years old. I’ve liked this since the beginning episode, the music alone got me hooked. I’m actually on episode four right now.

That’s definitely not true since once it’s released on home media, it becomes public domain, which is why sites are allowed to post clips of the movies or shows.

Ok comparing my disc 1 with my disc 2 again and I'm nearly 100% sure that disc 2 was burned and not pressed. Those circles aren't scratches. Plus each circle has a dot and each dot lines up perfectly with the other dots.

Both of my discs look to be pressed, I recommend taking yours back to the store because that doesn't sound right at all.
