Unhappy Lines appear during movie. please help!

hi i own a playstation 3 and a Bush iD HD ready TV. i have them connected with an HDMI cable. when i play games, the picture is fine but the problem is when i watch a blu-ray movie. i own around 10 blu-ray titles and occurs with all. when i watch the film, lines appear going down the screen. these are very noticeable. i have owned the TV for around a year now and i have had enough. im not to sure how to set up the display on the ps3 but it is set to 1080i. when i try to set it to 1080p it looks horrible with loads of fuzzy lines. im not sure if its the drive in the ps3 itself or whether it is the TV as it is not a great make. i was wondering if anyone could help me
Thank you very much.

HD ready, usually means it needs a convertor box to get HD
set your PS3 to output a lower resolution and the lines should go away

720p is still HD
sorry
you probably need to go to 480i..

have been unable to find specs on your TV
It looks like in UK "HD ready" means HD
here it meant I had to buy a convertor box......
