Cleveland drafting another QB lol

Keep this up and within ten years, a QB's path to the NFL will be high school -> college -> Browns -> a real team.

I know. Whoever made this is stupid, though. The QB class for 2018 isn't great, and is far from recent draft classes. They have Kessler (who should be playing) and they drafted Kizer last year (I was against it, but I didn't mind they waited at least until the 3rd round to take a QB).

QBs next year to be drafted:

Josh Rosen, UCLA
Sam Darnold, USC
Lamar Jackson, Louisville
Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State
Ryan Finley, N.C. State
Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma
J.T. Barrett, Ohio State

Some good QB's you can probably get 3rd or 4th round with plenty of potential.

Report: Jerry Jones Among 17 Owners Against Roger Goodell Contract Extension

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...aign=editorial

Jerry Jones and 16 other NFL owners reportedly spoke on a conference call in an effort to find out whether they could "hijack" a contract extension for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, according to Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter of ESPN.

"You don't get to have this many messes over the years like Roger has had and survive it," one owner said Thursday.

Added another owner: "Maybe Arthur [Blank, the head of the compensation committee] and that committee think they're on track. But they have a lot more resistance than they counted on—and maybe they don't know how the resistance is growing as we speak."

Goodell's tenure has certainly been controversial, from the league's handling of issues like CTE and domestic violence among its players to questions about the commissioner's broad authority over discipline and the latest debate about player protests against police brutality and racial discrimination during the national anthem.

As Mortensen and Schefter wrote, "there is an unrest among a certain group of owners that were on this week's conference call that are unhappy with a wide range of issues ranging from Goodell's performance to certain NFL employees to the league's Los Angeles situation and to other issues that date back to the Ray Rice situation and beyond."

The reporters added that an extension for Goodell was expected to be done in September, but Jones has continued to obstruct those efforts. While Jones would need to assemble a group of 24 owners to oust Goodell as commissioner, it's clear that there is unrest.

"That was our recurring theme, that there's no leadership," one executive told Mortensen and Schefter. "Everyone there [in the league office] is trying to win the latest news cycle, and there's no long-term vision. It's just, 'How can we minimize the bad headlines, maximize the revenue and move on to the next day?' And there's an increasing frustration to that approach."
Haha to bad he already voted yes for an extension which means he needs 24 owners to stop it. Suck it JERRY. SUCK IT HARD.

Darnold going to Washington is interesting though. If Kirk really does go then I could see that being a decent possibility. But I do seriously think Kirk should go to Jax, since they're way closer to making a legit run than SF will be next year. And in that case, Jax drafting a QB wouldn't happen.

Cleveland won't go for Kirk. And Kirk would not want to go Cleveland.

Best 2 spots, at the moment, for Kick would be Jacksonville, Arizona, Pittsburgh, maybe Cincinnati.

Well he's got 17, would be nice to see Kraft grow a set of balls and become number 18! Everyone and I mean all fans should be cheering on the removal of this a-hole commissioner!

Cleveland needs a qb badly and have so much money. Lots of players follow the money why wouldn’t Kirk. If Cleveland throws 150 million 5 year contract with 100 million guaranteed he is not gonna turn that down. They just paid oswiler 16 million for nothing just to get a 2nd round pick. They might even throw more at Kirk.

They don't need a QB. They need WR's who can catch, a RB that can go more than 4 yards, and a line that can protect.

Osweiler trade made sense.. if not they would have likely fallen below the salary minimum.

You can follow the money all day as most would but a higher tier free agent is going to look in other directions, especially if he wants to win NOW, and with a somewhat decent coach (something Hue is far from).

7 more is gonna be tough plus they gotta do it before he sign the new extension. I just don’t see it happening I think it’s just Jones throwing a hissy-fit.

Kizer isn’t gonna win you games. Cleveland could throw insane money at him how bout 33-35 million a year. They don’t care they need to make a splash. Hue Jackson made Andy dalton look good for a few years. No osweiler was stupid they could have wasted that money on things they needed like Pryor or ANYONE.

Im sure Washington would love to have a “do over” on the Pryor signing.
If they wanted a deer-in-the-headlights, just take a flashlight into the wood at night.

We can hope or at least I can lol, if there is an owner that can get enough weight behind him it's Jerry though.

My point was Cleveland could have done anything with 16 million not dump it on a crap qb who they were gonna release.
