It really isn’t a martial arts movie.

Go watch it. The trailer is misleading. Brosnan is fantastic.

I signed up last week and got my card yesterday, it was pretty quick. I'll probably try it out this weekend, especially with Thor coming out.

Been waiting for something worthwhile to come out. Too many of those crap horror movies this time of year. Saw a trailer for The Foreigner a while back, and it looked good. Positive reviews sealed the deal for me.

Paid out of pocket to see it and I regret doing so. It was a Pierce Brosnan political thriller first and foremost and a shoddy one at that. The story was needlessly convoluted. It's understandable that we'd see less action and stuntwork from Jackie at his age but despite that he still got less screen time than Pierce. Overall it was a disappointing film not worth the 2 hours of your time even if you do have moviepass.

It reminded me of the Tom Clancy movies they made in the 90's (specifically "Patriot Games"), with all the political thriller stuff going on in it. I haven't seen a ton of Jackie Chan films, but he is very good in this. Both in terms of acting caliber and stunt work. It's a shame it got brushed away at the box office so quickly, cause it really is worth seeing (especially with MoviePass ).
I'm with that guy. It's one of the few films I've seen this year that I've thoroughly loved from start to finish.

Nope but it looks like BR 2049 is moving to the second run theatre here after Thursday so I guess I'll have to see it there.

I was just thinking, would be great if MoviePass utilized Fandango, just make us pay the fee. I’d be fine with that.

I'd even be fine with using MP through Fandango's app OUTSIDE the theater. When there's no kiosk in sight, and there's a long ass line at the box office with people undecided where they want to sit, and "Just how scary is this movie?".......I would be ecstatic and willing to be within 100 yards of the building if only I could just activate and purchase my ticket through Fandango on my phone to avoid busy crowds. I would never have to be concerned with running behind due to other circumstances.

But then the SDers and the like would abuse it even further buying tickets while they sit at home just for points, etc.

Ok so I just saw a movie and it’s not showing up in my history. I got it a couple hours early, left, then came back. Did I mess something up by doing that?

Nope, the app honestly is outdated and sucks. Sometimes a picture doesn't even show up at all.

Sometimes it can take a few hours for a movie to show in your history

What about the rumours MoviePass is going to possibly amend the rules so you can't see a movie every day. Or the rumours MoviePass will limit the number of times you can see certain movies? Or the most distressing rumour, new charges that you won't see coming?

These may or may not happen; there is nothing you can do about it.

I saw a movie almost every day in my first month with no issues and I'll continue to do so until these changes are actually implemented.

They have a history of putting limits on number of films, or suddenly raising their prices in the past (this is not the only example). http://variety.com/2016/film/news/mo...e-1201806341/#!

If they do it again, either look if the new values are still worth it, or cancel your subscription then. I've always felt enjoy the current service while it lasts, this will not be a magic long-term one-stop movie solution. And that's why some chains like AMC and Regal have issues with Movie Pass, they feel it devalues movie-going, and once the business model collapses, audiences are going to be complaining about their prices.

Because we signed a month to month contract with them: they can't change the terms significantly without warning and an option to decline/cancel.

Also, rumors are rumors. Thanks to social media, they can become poisonous. Hence the term going viral. Movie Pass isn't going to eliminate their biggest advantage: unlimited movies. They also can not enforce specific limitations on number of times a movie is seen unless they want to ask for pictures again or rework their existing software to accomodate for this.

They may notify us if a price change or tiers are coming. But as the wireless industry and streaming companies learned: existing users can keep the service they signed up for. If you also get charged for something you didn't agree to, your credit card, bank, or PayPal can reverse it.
