Default Warners Corpse Bride the best Blu yet, no doubt.

While I have 15 movies meself, and seen over - about- 35 on my LE40M86BD sammy - The Corpse Bride movie by Tim Burton beats them all.

I dont know if animated movies are usually better lookin than standard movies, but this is extreme.

With its 1.85:1 aspect ratio and simply stunning VC-1 codec, with high bitrate the two times I checked, its simply amazing.

The audio is for all I know not uncompressed, but its all good.

What do you think? For me there is no doubt. The best I have seen yet, I could watch the movie many times in a row - and it would get boring, but it just looks so good!

Not really. A very good title, but there is some banding present in certain scenes. Pirates and Apocalypto are still tops.

you cant really compare animated movies to live action as they are not really in the same ball park.

I have happy feet on blu-ray and personally I'm blown away every time I watch it and in my mind it is better than any other movie, but thats largely because its an animated movie.

Its sorta like how cartoons look s**t hot on SD-DVD's, its mainly solid colour and so easier to look sharp and clear

Got to agree with you, it's such a fantastic transfer. Alright there might be some banding in the odd scene but who really gives a monkeys... most people would'nt even know what banding was unless it was pointed out to them by avs folks most of the time. The sheer pop that films got is just incredible, never seen anything quite like it and the detail is so sharp and crisp it's just beautiful to watch.

I don't think that you can compare Happy Feet and Corpse Bride as they are two totally different styles of animation. Corpse Bride is almost like a traditional movie, where in that most everything you see is an actual object. With Happy Feet, everything is digitally created in a computer.

It's good, but better Blu would be Apocalypto, the two Pirates films, and Casino Royale for starters.

This could've been the best yet, however! They kind of forgot to include an uncompressed audio track...

Open Season and The Wild are both incredible animation films. And incredible Blu-ray discs.

It's called stop-motion animation. So like you said, almost everything you see is an actual object.

To be honest, I thought the movie look pretty damn great on Blu-ray in comparison to the DVD version. I always thought the DVD version was disappointing and now that I've seen the Blu-ray version. What a difference!

I haven't seen the whole movie on Blu-ray just yet so I'm not sure about the banding problem.

Just picked up Corpse Bride today, but the best PQ I've seen on the BDs I have are on Planet Earth, The Prestige, Apocalytpo, the POTC movies and Casino Royale. I'll watch Corpse Bride later on tonight or sometime tomorrow.
