Being a Target employee I just want to let everyone know Target does NOT do price adjustments for the Black Friday ad. Even if you bought it the day before. So you would have to rebuy it and return it with your previous receipt

The $10 price was probably planned long in advance, and has nothing to do with sales, inventory, or anything. Consider that the Cars 3 Digibook will also be $10, and that release doesn't even come out till Tomorrow.

My only complaint is that they didn't make this package so that the inner VHS-mockup thingy was simply a holder for a regular-sized blu-ray case. It makes a nice display piece for my media room, however I needed to transfer the discs to a spare 4-disc elite case for which I now need to either make or find some custom artwork.

Well, that and that this release should've been a UHD/BD combo, not a BD/DVD.

I'm fine for paying $24.99 for two reasons.
1) I had it to watch in time for Halloween
2) I don't have to face those crowds and that traffic and those lines of BF weekend. $15 for my sanity is a very small price to pay.

Agreed, I'll gladly pay $15 more to not have to fight people for them on BF

In my past experience Target has put the Black Friday sale items online too. Pokemon tins and boxes for 50% off all went up online same day.

One store by me has over 400 copies, there's going to be no fighting - just like with finding dory last year

update: the five target stores around me have Stranger Things in stock in the following amounts: 421, 422, 639, 411, 422. these are not going to be hard to get. I've been tracking numbers since day one and these stores previously haven't sold more than 70 copies each since release

That is a thing of the past. I happened to attend Target last year on Thanksgiving day or Friday (can't remember) and it was the most organized event I have ever seen. They really did a fantastic job. We can expect the same this year.

Picked up my copy from the post office today...the VHS packaging gimmick is pretty awesome in person. Just wish the poster were more interesting. A scaled-down version of the familiar, illustrated season one poster would have been awesome.

Mildly peeved that I missed out on the $10 BF price, but if that additional $15 means Netflix releases seasons two and beyond on Blu-Ray instead of relegating them to DVD-only, I'm more than willing to take one for the team.

Last year Target had all (at least most, possibly all) of their Black Friday discs for sale a week or 2 before BF, so you didn't have to go in on hell day. Maybe they'll do the same this year?
