As much as I love B5, I don't think this will happen. WB has never really seen what they had in B5 or respected it that much, so they won't invest in redoing FX for HD. And it'd have to be a total redo-- which would be a much larger job than classic Trek because that had very few FX shots per show. B5 had tons. No, sadly I don't think it'll ever happen. If it did, they'd just take what they had and the FX and composite shots would look awful.
Remember, we're talking WB here. They won't even put decent audio on a recent release, which would be like zero effort for them. Why would they bother with that kind of investment? Sad, but the truth. The DVDs will have to suffice, I'm afraid. |
