May not be a problem with your discs. I had some problems watching some of the Game of Thrones discs as well. I imported the steelbooks from Amazon.uk, and would get unrecognized disc on several of the discs in several of the seasons. On an older Sony player, unsure of the model. Firmware was up to date. I noticed this more when the machine was getting heavier use. It would play all the episodes on a disc fine, then pop in the next disc, and it was unrecognized. Pop the previous disc (the one I just got done playing) and that was unrecognized. Pop in a dvd and it would play fine. Give the player a rest, and it would play that second blue ray just fine. I pretty much isolated the problem to the player, and have a brand new player still in the box ready to go. Of course, once I bought the new player, the existing one hasn't acted up since.
