I don't mind waiting for the release date itself, whether it be at the end of this month (no way), next month (hopefully!), or January (ugh), I just wanna know when I'm waiting til.

On the other hand, I KNOW I'm way too obsessed with this movie, and that I'm far too eager about a Blu-ray's press release, so maybe it taking this long is normal.
You're not the only one who is obsessed with IT. I am fortunate to still have a local cinema that has it for at least another week, albeit on a smaller screen. I've watched it 28 times and counting and cannot wait for it to be released on 4K. It's the film that has convinced me to make the switch.

28 times? That means you're averaging watching it once every 2 or 3 days or you're watching it multiple times in a single day. Thats absurd.

I have an incredibly stressful job that consumes most of my life. Watching films and exercising are my only ways of escape, so when i find a film that I connect with, I tend to watch it repeatedly, particularly when the film has amazing cinematography and sound design, like IT has in abundance. So call it absurd if you want.

That being said, we all have stressful jobs that consume most of our lives. Except for the retiree posters among us, but they've done their time.

it's honestly not the most times I've watched a film in the cinema. 50 is my all time record with a couple others at approximately 30 viewings each. A darkened auditorium is in many ways my sanctuary. I know a lot of people think I'm insane for doing it but I have no other vices and precious few.other pleasures in my life.

It won't outsell a title like Guardians Vol.2 or Wonder Woman in UHD, let alone wait until Star Wars (at least starting with Last Jedi) hits UHD.

Not insane at all! We all have our indulgences and of all the “opinions” in the world I feel the you’ll find more agreeable ones in forumd like these! Btw your record of 50, what movie was it!?

Talking about being a dedicated fan.

I think you should keep your movie tickets and receipts and hand them over to each movie's distributor. The least they could do is give you a free UHD copy of each movie you went to see in the theater that many times.

For a film this fantastic, you can wait another week.

I would rather they get the transfer right than rush it.
