You might if you opened it up for sale to International members.

Honestly, the first set for me was just collectable. This will be no different. I'll watch it once in 4K, but then I'll most likely just stream it going forward. Unless it's astoundingly better.

I haven't has the first blu-ray set for long but I love the show and would like to have it in 4K. When Target releases it I will have to see if I can pick it up. I can always sell my blu-ray copy to my cousin or I could keep it and use it to display with my Stranger things funko figures.

But again, the audio doesn't matter to me.

I'll ask again as I think the question got lost in the back and forth, but is there any possibility that the person who took the picture of the on-screen audio specs was running audio via optical cable rather than HDMI, which would force DD 5.1 (i.e., might there still be hope that these do in fact have TrueHD audio)?

Watching the first season right now from a 4K download and it’s addicting. Up to episode 6 and this is an easily watchable marathon show, just sucks it’s going to end so quickly (not so many episodes).

Definitely would not mind owning both seasons on UHDBD.

How can the audio not matter to you? Ya got AUDIO and ya got VIDEO. Two things that matter. Is that really too much for an A/V enthusiast to handle?

Further, it's the principle. We keep buying the same movies over and over and over. At some point, we have to expect "archive quality". That's more or less where we are now. Finally.

I appreciate your hopeful optimism. But no, it is DD 5.1 on the disc. The pictures TheSweetieMan posted are of the extended information menu on the Oppo. It has 3 screens to scroll through, and he posted the first 2. The Media Information section he posted shows the format of the media itself. If he had shown the 3rd screen, it has the Output section. And if any conversions were made for the output, it would show on the 3rd screen only.

Yeah, I'm thinking of waiting to see what happens around the time Season 2 is ready to drop.

At the very least this half-assed set will drop in price.

So is it safe to say the street date is Nov. 28 or Dec. 5? ... or somewhere in between there?

If anything, it looks to be timed so it isn't included in Black Friday type sales.

I owned a lot of VHS movies so I've seen that packaging for years and years. I've moved on.

Some people don't care about video and are happy watching Dvds. I don't care that much about audio as long ws its not distorted and I'm happy with TV speakers. Never seen the point to buying anything else. To each there own.

TV speakers sound like two tin cans and a piece of string. You gotta try a little.
