Godzilla Anime Trilogy (2017-2018) (Distributed by Netflix)

Tomorrow the first anime Godzilla film, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, will hit Japanese theaters. But just as we hit the release date's eleventh hour Toho Animation and Polygon have given us a tease of the sequel.

The second film of the Godzilla anime trilogy has the (very) rough translation, Godzilla: The Mobile City's Decisive Battle. We're waiting on Toho's official English title for the upcoming sequel. The film will be released in Japanese theaters May, 2018.

"What is the city that was left on Earth 20,000 years after all urban structures should have been devastated? There is a scene that cuts out the moment that humanity confronted 'something' in the darkness where rubble was stacked. What is MechaGodzilla?
