Default Lumines Supernova releasing next week, includes LittleBigPlanet Challenge Mode stage

Lumines Supernova is due out Thursday November 11th in North America.

http://news.dengeki.com/elem/000/000/126/126090/

Some sites like ooh, the ever reliable Kotaku are reporting this as a Lumines stage in LittleBigPlanet.

Never heard of it.

I assume this is a free add-on - nevermind, I should probably assume the opposite.

But for someone like me who's never heard of Lumines - I wouldn't be buying it without a demo.

Definitely worth playing if you like puzzle games Cymbol. My wife and I played the PSP version for hours.

Kotaku did me wrong. I trusted they knew how to read Japanese (one of their editors lives in Japan, FFS).

Anyhow, Lumines is pretty good, but I don't see it as a good PS3 game. It's fun as a portable puzzle game to kill time on a commute, or sitting in a waiting room or something, but if I'm sitting at home, I don't think I'd play it. It's certainly no Tetris, but it's not bad.

On PULSE it's revealed that this is coming next week, to North America at least.

It's been rated by the ESRB and PEGI.

The Mizza's posted on the PlayStation.Blog.

So whats the word on this release? Its not on the US PSN store yet, IGN has a release date of Dec 23, and gave it a review of 8.5.

heres the final verdict:

Quote:
8.0 Presentation
The new menu is 3D, simple, and slick. But more importantly, it's a cinch to navigate and find the mode you're looking for. The loads are super-quick.
8.0 Graphics
Never a perennial powerhouse, Lumines Supernova is still a good looking title. The 8-bit and LittleBigPlanet backgrounds stand out, but others kind of just blend in.
8.5 Sound
There are plenty of changes and effects to keep you interested, and there are the traditional super-catchy tunes. Still, nothing here is as good as "Shake Your Booty" from the PSP.
9.0 Gameplay
Busting blocks and chasing high scores is awesome.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
There's a ton of content to delve into, but some of it might be too hard for noobs and some of it might be too recycled for vets. However, the good outweighs the bad by a large margin.
8.5
Great OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)
anyway, anybody heard more news about the release date? i saw in the trophy thread that they have released the trophy info for it. is IGN right and we'll see it in 3 days??

It was 14.99. I got the 20 skin packs as well since it's free :P

Trophies for sure just got one :P I'm somewhat disappointed in the visuals though , i know it's just a puzzle game but I was expecting maybe a little more polish. It looked really good on the PSP, maybe because the screen was smaller. Oh well though, it's still a lot of fun

I unlocked it. I think it was like the 7th skin in Advanced Challenge mode.

Incidentally, speaking of trophies, this game's trophies are brutal. I have Lumines for PSP so I know all the basics already but seriously 50 squares destroyed in 60 seconds is absurd (and the 180 second one is just as ridiculous).

Dig Down mode is evil, too.

So what's the deal. You play on easy mode and keep going and going and the more points you get, that's when you unlock additional skins? Can anyone tell me what the first skin is for easy mode? The song is atrociously bad and I never want to see / hear it again.
