I see both sides of the argument. But, I can go buy the DVD for $5 - $7.50 if I want the DVD extras so much.

If BD50 vs BD25 is an issue there's also the possibility of using a regular DVD for the SD extras as a stopgap measure until the cost difference comes down. This could work quite well where the DVD release is a 2-disc set or more, since then you can just replicate a an extra set of DVDs for use with the BDs.

While I can see the case for not including extras and there are people who don't care that much about them, especially for some releases, it's important for appearances sake and further consumer adoption beyond the early adopter stage we're still in. Even if you don't ever watch them, just knowing they're there has a positive psychological effect .

Speculation over at AVS seems to hint at November and December and I think many of us were hoping Fox to get back in the game by August and September. I definitely understand about you not being able to say much though.

Can you say anything about when discs with new AACS keys will be out? My understanding is that there is a 90 day window in there that has to be adhered to and it seems like the last round of keys came near the end of April or in May. But I figure there was likely some time for an investigation before the 90 days would start. I'm mostly wondering because I'm thinking we might have to wait for the new keys to see certain releases.

Ive lost faith in Fox. I hate it when I see a movie trailer for any movie that is from Universal or Fox that looks good. It means Ill never get it on blu ray

If nothing is announced today I will be quite convinced that the *powers that be* simply enjoy yanking my chain to piss me off.

No matter, today is probably the defining day of the Tour de France in terms of establishment of a GC winner so nothing can ruin it for moi.

Don’t loose faith.
I’ll find out what I can report (if anything) regarding their release schedule without stepping on any toes.

Unlike another studio that is admittedly under “pressure” to stay the red course, Fox spokespersons don’t feel compelled to publicly comment upon every bump in the road because we are all still at the earliest hours of the high def optical disc road trip.

I was probably just over dramatic. I havent lost faith, its just that Fox has so many good titles, they need to get cracking and give BR some sales help, plus me some more BR's to buy.
