My guess is sometime in March, and I'll be there day one to purchase this movie. Pixar has yet another true hit, the first since Inside Out IMO.

Will be getting the Target and BB exclusives for sure. A shame neither are 4k.

Good gravy, that Target set is magnificent! I Wasn't 100% sold on the movie but I adored the ending. Seeing it again today and can't wait!

The Best Buy title for the item says 3D, though, so there's hope for those who want the 3D.

Question I have about this: I'm not 4K-ready yet but I've been buying 4K/BD combos for certain films that I'd enjoy in 4K. What are your thoughts with Coco: do I splurge on the 4K?

Huh? 3D in the title? I don’t see it.

I think most, if not all, of US blu-rays (especially animated films) have the SPA track included.

3 days since it's release and they already have Blu-ray covers for the exclusives!

PS. The film was great.

I can't believe that there's already been 19 Pixar feature films already. I already own the first 17 of them on BD, and I'll get numbers 18 (Cars 3) and 19 (Coco) from the DMC once the latter becomes available in March or April.

I'm 100% positive that a Spanish-language track will be included on Coco's BD release, and it will almost certainly be encoded using the typical lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 @ 640 kbps that has been seen on every other recent Disney / Pixar / Marvel title released in North America.

They also consistently give French the same lossy treatment as Spanish, for what it's worth. There's just not enough room on a BD50 for three lossless 24-bit DTS-HD MA 7.1 @ ~4500 kbps audio tracks, so by default the film's original language wins out.

I really want to see this, but I'll wait for it on 4k. This looks like something my daughter would enjoy so I'll definitely be picking this up for us.

It does fit the Disney / BVHE pattern. Moana came out theatrically on 11/23/16 and hit home video on 3/7/17. Coco came out theatrically on 11/23/17, and the closest Tuesday to 3/7/18 is the day prior (3/6/18).

Presumably Disney believes that a much lower percentage of the public than the industry average are going pass on seeing their Thanksgiving tent-pole films at cinemas in favor of waiting it out for home video, so they can shrink the theatrical window down to 3½ months on those movies without losing any significant revenue. By the time 14 weeks have passed it will be grossing under a million a week, presuming that Coco tracks identically to Moana at the box office.
