There isn’t going to be a Snyder cut. Snyder never had a finished cut of the film (at most he only had an assembly cut with lots of unfinished VFX). A VFX artist on the film has confirmed as much. WB isn’t going to pay millions upon millions to finish that VFX either, especially since the film is shaping up to lose them $50-$100 million (like I said before, Snyder would probably have to pay for that VFX to be finished himself if he wanted it). There’s only VFX still going on with the film to spruce up some deleted scenes for either an extended cut or just for Home release. Apparently the only major VFX being done on the deleted Flash scene is replacing Iris with a random woman, as the studio might be recasting Iris or just want to introduce her properly in Flashpoint.

The fact Snyder himself brought Whedon on to write new scenes for the reshoots indicates Snyder was not happy with that assembly cut so finishing and releasing that assembly cut would not represent Snyder’s true intent for the film (unlike Alien 3).

There will most likely be an extended cut (it’ll help sell more copies after the lacklustre box office) but I think it’ll be more like Suicide Squad’s with a few deleted scenes that don’t substantially alter the film reinserted into the film.

Not convinced about him bringing Whedon himself though.

That's one of the cons of relying too much on CGI. If it didn't so much VFX work, it would've made things much easier.

I still don't understand why Cyborg had to be almost entirely CGI. They could easily have done part practical/part CGI similar to Iron Man. The fact he's almost entirely CGI guarantees that any new material in an Extended Cut probably won't be any Cyborg scenes which is annoying as he's the least fleshed out of the team (not that the others are much better mind).

That would explain why Cyborg was cut from the film outside of certain solo scenes and main plot details involving the team dynamic. WB wasn't willing to foot the bill for the cost of those effects. Then you have Superman's stache removal and that probably more than anything, but time constraints cost Cyborg a lot of scenes. Man the more and more you think about it, the more and more WB come across as yes men, and not sensible businessmen.

Why balloon a budget when you don't really need to? This wasn't like Titanic when the budget had to be 200 million because of the desire to be as authentic to 1912 as possible, to digitally create one half of the set to complete the Titanic we saw on screen. This wasn't Superman 1978 where effects had to be pioneered to convince people that Reeve was really flying on screen. This was just overspending for the sake of overspending. I get creator's vision, you gave him control and you should let him deliver a film that he/she believes in, but when you are playing with other people's money, there has to be some kind of control here. This was WB's property first and foremost, they should have put their foot down in pre production. You can't let Snyder do whatever he wants by spending daddy's money, then call foul when the credit card bill comes in the mail.

Justice League 2/10 a genuinely uncomfortable film experience for me. I don't think I've ever hated any superhero movie until today. Like those Schumacher Batman movies from the 90s are still kinda funny in a so bad it's good way.
I personally think Justice League is an 8/10.

2/10 is too low man.

They did a great job at joining up all the heroes and making them fight side to side.

Better than B vs S to be honest!!!!

No word on that and frankly, I'd rather it didn't happen. I thought Justice League was great. I loved it. Perfect the way it is.

Wonder Woman and BVS were far better than Justice League but it was better than Suicide Squad.

If anything, give me a cut with the original score/soundtrack. Danny Elfman’s score was horrendous.

Lets agree to disagree on which movies are best haha. But man you gotta hate Lex Luthor......he feels like the joker lol. Michael Rosenbaum played a better Lex in smallville.

I rechecked grosses at boxofficemojo. Justice League earned $93 million opening weekend. It needs a multiple of 2.13 to reach $200 million. It's rare for a movie to have lower than a 2.0 multiple.

Out of the top 100 films for 2017 there are four lower than 2.13 (All Eyez on Me, The Bye Bye Man, Baahubali 2, and Alien: Covenant) and one that's right at it (Rings)

In other words, I'm probably wrong that Justice League won't reach $200 million domestic but I doubt it's multiple will be much above 2.0.

For comparison, the other comic book movies of the year have multiples of 3.99 (Wonder Woman), 2.66 (Guardians of the Galaxy), 2.86 (Spider-Man), and 2.27 (Thor - and it's still in theaters).

So I'll say it hits $210 million and a multiple of 2.25, which would put it a little lower than the 2017 Fast and Furious movie.
