Ok, so I've burned the CD, yes it's finalized. I have restarted the player twice with no disk in the drive. The firmware update keeps saying "no disc"

Is there a chance that it has to have a specific volume name? Does it have to be a CD ROM (silly question, but I've seen stupider situations)? This is pissing me off.

All BD's I've tried by Universal Films seem to work while 20th Century Fox doesn't.What is the current software version for those who got the update to work?

So there is no way to do this update without burning a DVD-R??? A CD-R will NOT work for the update? If someone can confirm or set that straight for me I would appreciate it.

I used A CD-RW. A CD-R should work.

Hmmm I am having the same problem with my CD-R. I image burned the files on to a CD-R with the IMGBURN. No disc is read in my blu ray player when I put it in. I follow all the Olevia website directions...

Also, my Blu ray player does not recognize any CDs. Is that a problem with my Blu ray player?

EDIT: Never mind. It recognizes CDs. It does not recognize the CD-R I have image burned for it. Should I use a DVD-R?

See my comments 12/26. My unit would not recognize CD. But I mounted the image to a DVD+R disc and it worked fine.

I have been having the same issues as many of you. I managed to burn the image of the iso and get the update through. I tried a 20th century fox disc and that doesn't work. I will have to get a universal disc and see if that functions. If this is the case and 20th century fox discs will not work, this paper weight is going back to the store.
