This game in VR really is the best thing to happen to VR, and probably video games in general. It's just all around an incredible experience.

The more I play it the more I just love it. I really needed this. I feel like it's not just a game, but also a very relaxing virtual place to just go to.

One of the things I mentioned in the post I lost was how amazing the snow storms are. The wind whipping and blowing the snow across the rocks is such a nice touch that adds to the realism. And all of the snow flakes blowing around you and looking up at them coming down on your face.

I've had quite a few of those particularly amazing wow moments in this game since I started playing.

I had one last night where I was walking along and out of nowhere I hear a dragon. I was kind of out in the open and thought I was dead meat. It was night and in an icy snowy area. Wind and snow blowing. I hear the dragon howl and come flying by. I didn't know what to do so I crouched down into sneak mode and looked around. There were some bushes not far from me. So I scooted into the bushes hoping to hide from the dragon.

It worked, the dragon apparently didn't see me it flew away. Then I was just sitting there, in the bushes in just kind of awe. Looking around. Peering through the snow covered branches of the bushes. I felt like I was really sitting in a forest hiding in the bushes. Sat there listening to the wind blowing, watching the snow flakes and blowing snow wisping along. A little ways off I can see a farm house, and over there the walls of a castle and a little body of half frozen water. Some walruses lumbering around the edge of the water. And I'm just sitting there thinking wow, this feels so cool, I could just remain sitting here relaxing and listening to the wind howling.

Earlier, before that I had bought a house and added all the furnishings. So I was in my virtual house and it was so cozy. There is a huge fire in the center of the living area with some chairs. The game allows you to sit in the chair. So I sit down by my fire pit. And I'm thinking this is just so nice. I don't even have to play if I don't want, I can just come here and sit by my cozy virtual fire pit. Maybe read some of those books you pick up along the way. I was wondering if I could turn off the lights and just have the fire light. I actually almost tried to blow out the candles sitting on a table next to me lol.

I was wondering what it might be like to sit here and take a little real life nap lol. Wake up still in VR sitting next to the fire.

I've done a lot of adventuring in dark tombs and what not so far, so fun. My character is already at level 15 since starting on Monday.

I still have some trouble finding the exact locations of places but that is okay. I can't seem to have the marker on just one spot on my compass. There seems to always be two of them no matter what I do. So sometimes I'm not even sure if I'm going in my intended direction. But trying to get there is half the fun anyways so whatever lol.

Last night I was just trying to get to some place to talk to some guy about becoming a vampire hunter. And I end up on some other totally unrelated epic quest sailing to a different land and going to some temple and deep underground caverns. So fun. This game in VR is just brilliant.

I agree, more VR open world RPG type games is going to be amazing. Skyrim VR is just the beginning of true open exploration of VR worlds. I can only imagine what is to come.
