If you set the the sub itself @ 80hz you will get a GREAT improvement.

These subs really bang, I have the hz in the receiver and on the subs set to 80hz. Someone told me to try 80 on the reciever and turn the hz all the way up on the sub. It was terrible and I would have to sit right under it if I kept it like that.

On the reciever I have the db turn down and the bass tone turn down alot because of the power they put out.

Reading your first post have me wondering what are your settings? I do know, as I said, having your Sub with the hz turned all the way up is the wrong setting for these subs.
