Idk I thought I read somewhere that Fury wasn't going to be in this. I hope he is though.

There's also the Thanos team of villains and Pepper is confirmed right? I thought Cobie Smulder was confirmed too.

Right.

The list I found was of returning characters and limited to those seen in actual footage. There will of course be brand new characters and many other characters seen in previous movies that haven't shown up in the 3 or so minutes of footage we've seen.

Looks great. Too many characters would concern me but Marvel have the knack to make team up movies work.

This is the creme of Phase One’s crop, in my opinion. Maybe it’s due to the old fashioned style of British English spoken by the Asgardians or the elegance of Sir Anthony Hopkins - which suits his role as the King of Asgard - or the classically dramatic character arch of the titular character himself, but Thor feels sophisticated compared to its counterparts and therefore worthy of a level of respect exclusive to itself. The transition of the protagonist from an impulsive and arrogant would-be king to a considerate and humble rightful heir to the throne is in-and-of itself respectable, but that it is depicted in the context of a touching and dramatic intrafamilial conflict makes it honorable, thanks especially to Tom Hiddleston’s passionate performance as Loki and the aforementioned elegant portrayal of Odin by Sir Anthony Hopkins.

As a testament to how well constructed it is, Thor organically weaves humor into its plot via its hero’s lack of familiarity with Earth (e.g. 'I need a horse!), thus rendering the Son of Odin as unintentionally funny and subsequently maintaining his classiness and therefore that of the film.
Well said and I agree 100%. Thor is still my favorite film of the MCU and there's such a slick polish to the film while it feels confident much like Captain America which also had the right Director for that property.

But I hated Thor Ragnarok because it felt more like a cartoonish parody.

There will probably be characters that would usually be at the forefront that will be secondary characters in this one.

Wow. They could have cast Ron Perlman and only needed to paint him purple. No prosthetics necessary!

I'll just stick with the Blu-rays. UHD if it's Native 4K. AND some of the video games along with OST CDs. No other merchandise for me.

At first I thought they were going the Nolan route shooting both anamorhpic or 2.35:1 for dialogue scenes and IMAX (1.9:1) for the selected action sequences but the images reveal that it seems more like a center extraction from the A3X sensor for the scope version maybe something similar to GWDT and then pan/scan or expand frame for IMAX version (1.9:1).

I would have preferred they'd use the HAWK65s (Bay used it on select shots for The Last Knight) because the panatar APOs are pretty damn old. But it's nice to see the medium format being put to use more regularly atm.
