Good lord, talking about MoS is exhausting. Moreso than talking about the Prequels. All I can say is the movie worked for me. A LOT. It's my favorite CBM of the 2010s. Maybe I'm too stoopid to put into words why I like it so much, but I do. It is what it is.

Justice League Extended Cut might happen with 10 extra minutes of new scenes like Suicide Squad but there will not be a Snyder Cut which is sad.

WB would be foolish not to release Zack Snyder's Directors Cut. There is clearly a market for it. Regardless of if you are a fan of Snyder or a hater, people will buy it out of curiosity and that will only help home video sales. Joss Whedon and WB really did a disservice to Zack Snyder. Anybody who cares enough to do a little research will find out what an incredible film Zack Snyder had in store. The amount of idiotic reshoots and cut material from this movie because of WB's ridiculous mandates is outrageous! in my opinion it looks like WB purposely sabotaged Justice League so they could completely justify abandoning Zack Snyder's vision and concentrate on solo superhero releases. I guess the 1997 Justice League of America un-aired television pilot would be more acceptable for today's audiences because comic book films need to be filled with comic relief and nonsense. Zack Snyder is ahead of his time and a true visionary. Christopher Nolan realized this when he hired Snyder for Man of Steel and to oversee the DCEU.

There is no Snyder Cut. He probably made a rough cut before he stepped down, but that rough cut probably had millions and millions of dollars worth of unfinished VFX. It probably also ran for about 4 hours, because a general rule of thumb about any film, no matter how talented the director, that the assembly cut is f-ing terrible. That's why these films take about 2-3 months to shoot and about a year to edit. In the unlikely chance that it happens, it will only happen years down the road.

I love Zack Snyder and Man Of Steel and BVS are one my favorite comic book films of all time and it's sad we never see Zack Snyder's version of Justice League because Warner Bros doesn't care about the fans all they want is money BVS and Suicide Squad and Justice League were clear examples of studio interference and they seem to never learn Superman II and and Batman Forever and Green Lantern 2011 are good examples as well.

That is totally false. It's been confirmed by people who worked on the film and people who got to see early screenings that not only does the Snyder cut exist, it is far superior to what we have in theaters now. Snyder haters love to keep saying there is no Snyder cut but that's just misinformation. Again a little research goes a long way.

There likely WAS a cut, but as I said, it was likely an ASSEMBLY cut. All of the leaked deleted scenes have unfinished VFX and no audio, and to make an actual, presentable cut of a film it would take an absurd amount of money and time on WB's part to produce.

Every single film ever created has an ASSEMBLY CUT or a workprint. The version of Justice League that was screened is a complete version. The scenes that need work were DELETED and are not part of Snyder's screened cut of Justice League. All this anti-Snyder propaganda is ridiculous!

A VFX artist who worked on the film confirmed that the Snyder cut will likely never be released because it Would be incredibly expensive to finish. Snyder’s cut was completely unfinished and Snyder himself was not happy with it. It won’t be released as it would cost too much to finish and Snyder himself was not happy with the cut.

It's not anti-Snyder, it's anti-nonsense. While we're all quite sure that there is a Snyder cut - who's up for semantics? - it's simply not representative of what the film would've become had he remained on the project and been able to refine it over the past year.

This is exactly it. There is a Snyder cut in theory. But it’s in no state to release. Is too expensive to finish and no one wants to pay the costs (this isn’t a few bits of VFX that need polishing, it’s whole sequences that need to be worked on). It’s a cut Snyder himself was not happy with (so it’s a cut Snyder worked on but not one he wants released).

I think there’s a lot of nonsense on both sides. Yes there is a Snyder cut. But it’s not going to be released anytime soon because it would cost a fortune to finish. After the film massively underperformed, WB isn’t going to pay to finish it and Snyder himself doesn’t seem that interested.

This isn’t a situation like BVS or even Ghostbusters where they were finished sequences cut from the film late on. This were unfinished sequences cut from the film months ago. While there is still VFX work going on with the film, it’s been confirmed to be minor (the only extensive work is replacing Iris with a random woman in the Flash scene because Iris might be recast, not other VFX on that scene is being done).

Every DGA director is guaranteed their own edit of the film before the studio can start making notes and requesting changes. By union rule, all DGA directors get a "director's cut." Very few, however, will be granted "final cut" authority. Final cut is almost always in the hands of the studio. I'm certain Snyder was allowed to build his own initial cut of the film. I'm also certain that WB was dissatisfied with that cut, and it is unlikely to be released.

If this mythical Snyder Cut is really that superior to the theatrical, it's probably even less likely that we'll ever see it. Why would the studio put money and effort into releasing something that'll only prove to most people that they shouldn't have mucked things up in the first place? Any way you slice it, we're not getting Snyder's version of Justice League. Just a longer version of the Snyder v. Whedon: Death of Justice.

The theatrical was a Frankenstein of a film. An extended cut will be a Bride of Frankenstein of a film.

WRONG again! Snyder himself has voiced his support for the online petition demanding the release of his Directors Cut. If his version didn't exist why would he do that? A lot of people are just misinformed and that's fine.

Snyder wants the support to convince WB to invest the time and money into finishing his cut. But to say it exists in any realistically releasable form right now is absurd.

He hasn’t voiced any support. He’s liked a post linking the petition. That’s it.

Snyder liking a post that talked about the petition isn’t exactly him saying “I fully support this petition and want this to happen”. It’s more than likely him being happy his fans are still supportive of him. It could mean many different things. Just like Whedon liking a tweet criticising Steppenwolf. It could have mean Whedon agreed or respecting that’s persons opinion.

People who worked on the film have said that Snyder didn’t like the cut he had before leaving the film. He might agree with fans wanting him to release a cut but I doubt Snyder would agree for a cut he wasn’t happy with to be released.

And WB isn’t going to pay for the VFX to be finished.

Just because Snyder had a cut, it doesn’t mean it was anywhere near ready to be released. VFX is incredibly expensive and, as a VFX artist who worked on the film has said, a Snyder cut would require millions of dollars in VFX work to finish.

Why would Snyder want WB to invest in his version of the movie if he didn't like his cut? None of what you guys are saying makes sense. It's a fact people have seen his version and enjoyed it, it's a fact that Snyder supports the release of his directors cut, and it's a fact that WB and Whedon butchered Snyder's vision. The only thing I can agree with is that WB probably won't release it because they want to move on. WB will be leaving a lot of money on the table by not releasing it, but that's their prerogative.

Per DGA rules, does a director's cut have to have completed VFX?
