Ok, there's a ton wrong with this post.

First, the JS8000 is a 2015 TV.

Second, Netflix has exactly 0 HLG content.

Third, if you are referring to the Samsung K8500 player, then it doesn't support HLG. The 2017 Samsung players do (M9500/M8500/M7500.)

Default Technology and Hollywood Meet Up at Fox Innovation Lab

The Lab is working to advance HDR’s capabilities with HDR10+, an open, royalty-free HDR technology featuring “dynamic metadata,” which more precisely adjusts content to the capabilities of different TVs.

“Scene by scene and even frame by frame, that movie is being adjusted to be optimized to that particular TV,” Kaye says.
Doesn’t give any details.

I live in Spain and the public national broadcaster TVE has three test 4K channels nation wide. They broadcast the same material on a loop for the whole day which is the guard change at Palacio Real in Madrid. The three 4K channels broadcast the same but one is in HDR10, the second is HLG and the third one is SDR. My early 2017 49'' 4K Samsung sets displays both HDR10 and HLG 'though HLG is not cited anywhere on the owner's manual, but with both HDR10 and HLG the on screen info displays "HDR" but doesn't tell in what format, thankfully the channels are labeled with each HDR system, well actually the HDR10 broadcast is labeled as PQ HDR.
My parent's 2016 Samsung 4K set also displays both HDR10 and HLG of these channels displaying "HDR" on its on screen info. There are difference in picture quality also between HDR10 and HLG, I think HDR10 looks better with more natural colors than HLG.

You can't have HDR without 4K, and 4K can vary quite considerably, right.
I too am looking forward to 'Blade Runner 2049' and 'Dunkirk' both coming soon to home screen living room.

Er, you can have HDR without 4K. Resolution has no bearing on range.

Netflix has a short movie called Cosmos Laundromat, it's a 1080pHDR movie.

YouTube has that too, thanks to marty

Perhaps LordoftheRings really meant to say: "You can't buy a HDR Blu-Ray which isn't a 4K Blu-Ray".

Qualcomm has a new 4K HDR feature, but which devices support it?

YouTube finally added an HDR filter! You can now filter your searches for actual HDR content.

Luckily the crosswinds weren’t too bad, anyway -

With regards to the yet unannounced (nevertheless, in the works at the Burbank offices) Disney Animation movie project I spoke about several months ago with an Asian character(s) written in….I gleaned today from puffing riders, it also seems to have a sci-fi slant/theme to it (although it’s tough to tell for sure as the Disney guys are resistant to discussing specifics of the plot)….anyway, the project is progressing along well despite a few months leave of absence by top creative management.

I can, where? Is it hiding on some 1080p Blu-rays.
