I've browsed a bit the theatrical edition in this which is from the new 4K scan.
Fortunately I haven't bought this set!

The bluray is UNWATCHABLE!!

besides the terrible macroblocking at times (most evident in opening titles), they haven't corrected the brightness which was meant to be seen in 3D, with the glasses that darken the film.
As it is now in 2D with the same brightness, it is a MESS. Literally it's unwatchable, and I'm sure it wasn't meant to be seen like this. (this is so evident from the very start in the credits, where the background should be black and now it is grey)
i tried to correct it a bit, darken the image, change the gama etc., but it's not use. It gets worse!

This is my brief review of the theatrical version bluray.
i would advise to keep away from this set.
(unless you want it for the packaging which seems gorgeous indeed)
