Now I don't have the 4K display yet. still happy with my Panny ST60, and already own the DKT on regular 1080p are there any extras included here? Atmos Sound? don't think I have seen that.....reported. Guess picture quality should be better regardless on my Panny ST60 with this new 4K DKT set.
Yeah, Walmart is where I have it pre ordered from. ALL audio tracks on Nolan's 4K films will be "original theatrical audio mix" so no Atmos remixing for the home. Just good ol' DTS-HD MA 5.1

Picture quality on the other hand will be great. ALL the 4K films have been given brand new 4K scans from the original negatives. So I expect a great image.

I'm not sure about the bonus features, but assume those will be the same Blu-rays. It's unclear whether the included Blu-rays will have the new transfers on them or be the originally released Blu-rays.

Even if you only own a 1080p display, get yourself a 4K player and hook it up. The UHDs look spectacular on 1080p sets.

Ya I picked up the Panasonic DMP-UB400 for $299 from Audio 2001 about a month ago, watched Ghost In A Shell and Kong Skull Island and it looked fabulous. helps me get my Atmos soundtrack now too. I know the Panny Player doesn't have HDR or HD10 or Dolby Vision, but I wanted a budget player for the time being, and it fits perfectly.

I ordered it when it was released. It was showing item not yet released and it's been this way ever since. I tried customer service several times and at one point I got tired and asked them to cancel it... Not even sure why they are still showing this title there. No, don't order it, unless you want it to sit on your orders for months and no change.

If anyone is looking for a 4K player get the Sony UBP-X800 player. It is supposed to be one of the better 4K player on the market. It is currently $199.99 at a few places (but I think the sales end tonight). I got one last night but I haven't been able to try it yet.

I did the same. They ended up crediting $5 to my account, but refused to acknowledge that the listing was a mistake, and that it had been released, even when I told them I had just purchased it from Walmart. It’s honestly embarrassing. [emoji23]

Not 4K-ready either. I'll be happy when the budget for it clears.

Btw, is there really a noticeable difference watching a 4K disc (instead of a 1080p disc) on a 4K player with a 1080p tv..? Sounds like a scam but, here I am, asking.

Hmmm, not sure if this is a glitch or not, but the Wolfman: Legacy Collection on blu is currently $19.44. I think the lowest was ~22 around October.

The Sony UBP-X800 is a fantastic 4K player that I’m happy to have. It even makes DVDs look bearable uprezzed! (Just barely, let’s not get silly)

Well I just had an eventful experience with Amazon,

Needed a set of banana plugs for my new addition Atmos front speakers so I ordered off of Amazon.ca since we pay a shit load of duty fees from a solid site like Monoprice. Where I have bought from before. In order to cash in on no shipping charges I took advantage of adding a 4K movie that was on sale, got The Martian Extended for $19.99.....order took over a week and nothing, I checked the status and it said that it was delivered on this past Sunday. I called Amazon on Tuesday and was told that they are experiencing problems with a courier company they have been using of late. So she re-sent the order free of charge and it arrived in record time. (The Martian Extended 4K, and my banana plugs) open up the parcel and of course the movie case is damaged completely cracked on the back. So I decided to call them back today and see if they can replace it, she was going to resend me a copy, but said the easiest thing to do was to refund me $22.00 which includes the tax. GREAT, I guess......... so was gonna start looking for a site that sells the 4K Ultra black cases, and come home today, VIOLA received another parcel from Amazon, thinking it was my order from Amazon.co.uk and what is it? Its the original order of Banana plugs and 4K Martian Extended. Now probably can sell the extra copy to Beat Goes On or something like that. Unbelievable.

I got some better deals in the last couple months on things I've wanted watching the deals pages here. The one item I am happiest about is the remastered blu-ray set of the complete Dick Van Dyke Show for $100CAN ( including shipping) off of the US Amazon. I haven't seen it cheaper since, not even yesterday, and it looks amazing as the series was actually filmed. Too bad all the great shows from the 70's were all recorded on video tape & are impossible to remaster as finely as this.

If you can return yours, the 2 for $20 is back at Best Buy. or just get Black Adder for $14.99.

Looks like Amazon has matched Walmart's price on the 4K (Box Set) TDK Trilogy @ $79.99 Pre-order.

Would anyone recommend? Heard it’s a good series, but I’ve never watched it before. Seems crazy cheap though.

Yes, 100%. I've only watched the first half of the first season, and it's a pretty fun sci fi series.

I remember paying $70 for it back in 2011 and thinking that was an awesome deal.

Does Amazon.ca not ship to the US anymore? I have 5 BD titles in my cart sold by Amazon (not 3rd party) and none of them ship to my address. Here's the message for each item:

Sorry, but this item can't be shipped to your selected address. Learn more. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order.

To ship this item to additional addresses, increase the quantity.
